They must have sent you a straight through cable. Glad you are sorted either way :)

Basically the same. "The Box", has a newer firmware revision, that allows it to autoroll on the true cable C***** network. Also the EPG is supposed to be better, saying that all Starviews have a bad EPG set up in my opinion.

"The Box" is the most recent of the two and therefore it has more future firmware support. It has not been cloned as of yet.

No problem as long as he has the 2.57eE fixed firmware on his box to enable autoroll. And also that he never trys to flash genuine fimware to it.

I have to leave for a while hope that is enough info for you.

Hello again, just a quick query for you guys. Does anyone have the frequency etc for channel 4 as I don't have it in my list of channels and my normal TV signal is no longer available since installing the box. I just thought I could manually search for it instead of messing up my channel order again.
    Cheers

Autoroll means when the codes are changed the box will automatically update them. In regards to loading new firmware the 2.57eE fixed is the most up to date firmware, and as it is a clone there are no more future updates.

Mines fine but I am not in Galway. I helped someone there yesterday as they were having the same problem. They too had version 4. What channels do you currently have working?

This is happening in a few areas so I would say that there is work going on. It will usually come back by itself. Can you check what keys are input in your Nagra screen please and tell me what they are?
