Can anybody help me ? I have a starview box and when I try to imput the codes into the Nagravision screen, the starview will not allow me to save the numbers. It is as if the remote is dead yet the remote works well on the other functions up to that point. The Nagravision screen is also not appearing correctly. It is very faint-boxes for the numbers not fully visible. The starview is therefore not working properly only receiving channels such as Network 2, Euronews etc but none of the ‘Pay’ channels. Has anybody had this before ? Do I need to reload something from the web or what can I do ? Is the starview now useless ? Appreciate your help.
Press Menu then 1570 and press the "Set Default Key" , press OK , then go into Nagravision and input the codes , press OK to save each key data and tune into S*Y Sports and it should update for you Also make sure your scart is connected tightly and the EMU key is ON
thamks Celtic but the starview will not recat to the remote when I press OK to save the new numbers. any other ideas ?
Sorry but my last entry should have read--- Thanks Celtic but the starview will not react to the remote when I press OK to save the new numbers. Any other ideas ?
Ok when you input the codes , when you press the OK button to save them , you dont actually see anything happening other than at the bottom of the screen you will see ( [OK] Store ) alternatively flashing and the codes should be saved
yep, there is no acceptance from the starview. Store/Ok do not flash and I cannot get out of the screen -only way is to turn off the switch at the back of the sv. Do I need to load something onto the box or is it useful ?
Thats strange , have you tried pressing EXIT 3 times to get out of Nagravision , Make sure you are pointing the remote directly at the b0x and even try changing the batteries and see if that helps Have you updated the firmw@re on the b0x ?
it is strange. The remote works up to the point of saving the numbers and works when I turn on the sv again. It will not work when saving the new numbers.
Just a quick but in Celtic.... can you borrow a remote from a mate and try his...proccess of elimination and all that!!
yes I updated the firmware, put Cryptstar-v1.4-Core400 on it . no improvement. Should I put something else on it ?
Thanks for the suggestion Des :0 If youhave the lastest firmw@re installed then you done need to manually input the codes Try this Press Menu then 1570 and press the "Set Default Key" , EXIT and tune into S*Y Sports and it should auto update for you
its not the remote. I think it is the SV-something gone astray on it ? Have another box and both remotes work on it. Anything else to eliminate ? appreciate your comments etc.. Pls keep the ideas coming
FANASTIC !!!! You guys are great. did the ... Press Menu then 1570 and press the "Set Default Key" , EXIT and tune into S*Y Sports and it should auto update for you.. all working again Many thanks
Can anyone please help. I have just bought an adapter to connect my rs232 cable to my usb port on my computer as i have no RS232 connection on my computer. The problem is i can't get the GTRom to connect via the USB. I keep getting the error message, "Can't open serial port"
Did you install the drivers that came with the USB Adapter ? The most common issue when installing the USB adapter and driver is selecting the correct port for your map software to recognize. You must make sure your particular software is looking on the correct port for it to transfer any data. To see which port your USB adapter is connected to, connect your USB adapter and follow the following instructions: 1. Go to the Start Menu 2. Right click on "My Computer" 3. Select "Properties" 4. Click on the "Hardware" tab 5. Click on "Device Manager" 6. Click the + sign next to "Ports (COM & LPT)" 7. One of the listed ports should indicate which port your USB adapter is connected to (e.g. COM1, COM2, COM3, etc.) 8. Go back to your map software program that you use to transfer data and make sure it is looking at the correct port. 9. You should be able to transfer data once the correct port is selected If you need drivers go here http://www.gilsson.com/usb_drivers_download.htm
Thank you very much Celtic. I have intalled all the drivers that came with the USB adapter. I have done exactly what you said and it is saying the USB is COM7 but in GTRom it only goes up to COM4
