Have you got a 9 pin port on your laptop or are you using a USB Adapter ?

 

Matt , are ALL the boxes using the same provider ?

You can try this as it will give it a fresh installaion

Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit

Press Menu then 1570
Turn EMU key ON

Exit , exit , exit

 

Thanks for replies Celtic, sorry have been offline till now. Will try the factory reset and let you know how I get on. Also yes, they're all N*L Dublin, three st*rview 1 & one S*arview The box. Its one of the st*rview 1's that doesn't seem to be working properly, although I can watch S*y Sports 1 on it, which I thought was a bit strange. I updated using USB adapter and 9 pin female to 9 pin female null modem cable.

I'll let you know how I get on and again thanks a million for your help (",)

I'm sure the factory setting will sort it out and dont forget to turn the EMU key ON

 

Thanks Celtic, box running fine now. Another quick question, sorry if I'm being a pain. The EPG on my genuine starview 1 has gone blank and is stuck on January 1 (Mon), it was working perfectly till last night. As I said, I've recently updated the firmware as advised, is there a reason why the EPG is not working now and is there anyway to fix it?

I really appreciate all the help you've given me and again hope I'm not being a pain.

The EPG is not the best on the Starvi*w , try Press Menu > User Set Up > Time Settings > Time Zone GMT +00:00 > Current Time ( Press Ok and input time ) Change to AUTO > Summer Time = ON , Exit back and see if that fixed it

Anyone notice that channels on TP 402000 (UKTV Gold +1, Discovery Turbo, Nick Replay, etc) have disappeared yesterday from N*L Ireland? Have they changed the frequency for these channels, any one know what frequency they're under now? I did a scan but couldn;t pick them up.

Didnt notice will have a look later? I am sure people who are at home could confirm this for you.

 

Thanks. When I scanned that frequency it found no channels and said 'failed'.

 

If you have a subbed box have you checked them on that?

 

Prob gonna sound stupid now, but whats a subbed box?

 

A box supplied by your cable company, i.e. N** box.

 

Oh ok, yep I have a proper N*L box too. I'll check them onm that later, in work now.
