Try another PC or download the Vista compatiable drivers from the first link I gave you.

 

@sc0user i'm not having problems with that box super lately for the last 2 weeks (thank god), but why did they put in new tuners and cause all these problems in the first place.
Wasnt just the new drivers Steo it was diffent batch types also, so hence the mix up.

 

that was awkward. when they made it they could've made proper firmware for it in the first place. well at least it's working now anyway. why did they make them all different, they didn't do it with the box starview 2 and on starview 1 you could easily tell the difference.

if they worked in the first place why did they make them different?

 

Just lets say something got lost in translation at the manufacturers end

 

dont know if this makes any difference but the cryptstar icon is blank, it looks like a blank sheet of paper, with a fold in the corner, the reason i ask is because i have just tried to open another program that i know works and it had the same icon and failed to open.

 

Its a bin file and can only be loaded obviously with Gtromloader.

 

As per advise, i put aside the new laptop, pulled out the old PC did all the usual step and it downloaded straight away and is now fully functioning thanks for your patience and help

 

good man well done always better using the serial port,these things have a mind of there own.

 

as i said very much appreciated, how often do i need to update it ?

 

how long is a piece of string,who no's we'll cross that bridge when it comes.
