Starview channels

Hi all anyone got the codes for n*l Glasgow as it is gone down. I will have to update the box anyone know the latest software think I have the first starview box. Will I lose the order of my channels by upgrading ? as that is what has put me off doing it in the past.

You wont lose your channel order , you be just updating the firmware to auto roll the codes

Count the vents on top 18 x7 = clone and 25 x 7 = Genuine

2.57_FIXED = Clones
4.00 = Genuine

 

18x7 but I think it is the first generation as the remote is the original other than that if I put in the wrong software will it break it ?

25x7 = Genuine
13x7 = 1st Generation

If you load the v4.00 on to a clone it will blow it

Look from the front of the box and see if you scart lead connectors are to the left or right

Right = genuine
Left = Clone

 

yes looking at it from the front it is at the back left must be a clone then just because I had the original remote made me think it was real. If I put the clone software in and it is not a clone will it break it ?
But going on what you have said it sounds like a clone box.

Hi a bit on the weary side to update the firmware in case I wreck it think I will see if the codes will work on for me if anyone has them.

All info sounds like a clone , I think putting the 2.57_FIXED on it will be safe enough and only V4.00 will blow a clone

2.57_FIXED wont blow a 1st Gen or Genuine

can anyone please tell me how to load the firmware onto my box in VERY simple terms as im not to clued up on computors. i do have a null modem cable with 2 female ends and an adapter down to a serial male. i have checked the vents on the top of the box 25 x 7 and the scarts are on the right as u look at the box, so it should be genuine. appreciate an help given

ALSO IF YOU ALL PUT THE UPDATING FIRMWARE ON YOUR BOXES THIS WOULD NOT BE HAPPENING AS THE CODE WOULD AUTOROLL THEMSELVES

Go to the eko link on the bottom of my post and go to the starview section and download the tutorial and the video and it will tell you all you need to do just make sure you put the V2.57eE_fixed on a clone box and 4.00 on genuine box

18X7 vents == clone
25x7 vents == genuine
