Starview channels

If you are sure its a clone you will need to take of v4.00 immedially as it will kill it , You will need 2.57_FIXED for CLONES

All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos Library.

 

Tony .. Did you install the USB Adapter correctly and confirm what port (1,2,3, or 4) you are connected too

To see which port your USB adapter is connected to, connect your USB adapter and follow the following instructions:

1. Go to the Start Menu
2. Right click on "My Computer"
3. Select "Properties"
4. Click on the "Hardware" tab
5. Click on "Device Manager"
6. Click the + sign next to "Ports (COM & LPT)"
7. One of the listed ports should indicate which port your USB adapter is connected to (e.g. COM1, COM2, COM3, etc.)
8. Go back to your map software program that you use to transfer data and make sure it is looking at the correct port.
9. You should be able to transfer data once the correct port is selected

Thanks for the reply Celtic71.
Did what you said and although I'm getting more channels than before I've still got the same probs with not getting the channels I mentioned earlier.

In addition most of the TV named channels are distorted with poor picture and sound as are Sly Sp0rts 1 & 2, 3 & xtra are fine.
I've noted that 1 & 2 run on the same frequesncy as do 3 & xtra.
Still no M*V music or Set Sp0rts 1.

Any suggestions anyone?

 

Hi, have starview 2 'the box' on Ch***s in Kildare, Ireland. I have managed to get 77 TV channels (used autoscan and then some manual codes off another thread on this websites)..Is that the lot on ch***s inKildare as when I use it on N*L in Dublin area I can get 170ish TV channels on autoscan alone.

 

If I remember correctly that is about as many as you get on ch***s I dont think you get as many as on N** I stand corrected if i am wrong. Fergus lives down your neck of the woods perhaps he will give you a dig out when he,s looking in..good luck

I take it you installed the 2.57_FIXED for CLONES ?

If so I recommend you do a Factory Setting first

Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit

Press Menu then 1570
Turn EMU key ON

Exit , exit , exit

Come back and let me know if your still having problems with channels missing etc

Double check your channel listing to see if you have it , it could be located at the end of the list or named as TV**** (**** Denotes Numbers )

If you have not got it , do an Auto Scan and when its finished check the end of your listing again

I did as you advised but my probs with my box are still very much the same.
All Sly M0vies are working fine and no probs with picture & sound.

However, still not picking up Set Sp0rts 1, all the M*V Mu5ic channels, majority of the TV channels are distored and no UK*V channels found at all.
Sly Sp0rts are also distorted.

On scanning for channels I only got 160 tv channels.

Any other idea's.

Try do manual scans on these below and see if it helps

MTV channels = 379.000
UK GOLD = 627.000
UK GOLD + 1 = 347.000
Set Sp0rts 1 = 827.000

 

hi folks,
I have heard a rumor that n*l are to change their signaling on the 6th of january ( tomorrow ) to try and stop these starview box's from working ! Im just wondering if anyone else has heard this rumor ?

 

That rumour has been going around for months nad months , wait till tomorrow and see lol
