    Updating Firmware

Connect your box and PC with a Null modem cable and switch on the cable box and put it on STANDBY.
(The Starview does not need to be connected to TV to update it with GTROM)

Open GTROM Loader software make sure that you set the correct COM PORT
that matches the one that is being used

Make sure App file only is selected, then click Bin File & browse to the firmware where you downloaded it to on your PC.

Run the GTROM loader by pressing Download and you will see the % progress increase
then Download completed message on your PC.
Wait until you see the DOWNLOAD COMPLETE pop up on your PC before
removing the NULL MODEM CABLE. The Starvi*w will then reboot

Turn off and turn back on , then plug your tv cable and scart back in

Ah well there are so many conflicting codes i want to make sure i have the correct ones to put on the page as some people give codes of there boxes i know they mean well but they are not in that area and if you look at the codes they will be different which would mean the wrong codes would be put up that is why i was asking if they used that provider that way they should be correct

Any way thanks for doing your page as well i think they are trying to make a point that they can change the codes all day long and in doing this people will think their boxes are not working and get boxes from them

As some people without internet access will not know what is going on with there box and just bin it

click Bin File & browse to the firmware (4.00.bin) where you downloaded it to on your PC.
