im pretty sure but was thinking same thing had it a while from reputable dealer 9 pin female to female wondered whether it has been damaged in some way.do you think its not picking up the box or the cable with having to type in model no.

hi fergus. i have tried tw codes both ways round but still getting most channels scrambled,i can still get some s*y movies and celtic tv and all adult channels,emu is on,does this make sense i can still get some ppv stuff?

 

Did you look on the bottom of your channel list to see if they are named by something else

Another thing you could try if you want is to go to factory restore and press ok and turn your box off at the back and then back on again

Then rescan your box for the channels you will have to turn your emu back on again after restoring factory settings ok

 

It might be the rs232 cable as that will not work

Delete the GT ROM Loader from your PC and download it again and try it from scratch

 

hey fergus,did factory reset etc,, then re entered codes and all is back to normal,many thanks again for all your help,at least i didnt have to sit through an hour of hollyoaks and i'm watching the footie i missed earlier,cheers mate.

 

arhhh! Have the codes for t/w changed again? Put the new ones in last night....all fine, now they're gone again.

can any one tell me if there has been yet another code change. put codes in last nite and they worked for a little while but now just back to a black screen saying data updating, again.
does any one no why the codes keep getting changed and if i brought a starveiw 2 would i still have the same problems with codes.

hi guys new to this so sorry if im repeating anything.

Im in the dundee area with a starview box i got from my cousin. now i have been getting the black screens with the last few days so i switched it off and back on again and i never normally waited long on a black scrambled channel but did so this morning and found if i left it for a few more seconds it comes up info or channel is updating and after it reached 100% it would give me al the channels back.

does this mean i have the auto updater already installed?

ok celt, will try what you said where is the best place to download it from just in case i have the wrong gtrom loader.

 

Yep thats exactly what it means if you put it on Sly Sports it will update faster.
