starview clone new fixed files

Malci,
tried update from v2.57e_E fixed to the recommended CryptStar-v1[1].4-Core257.bin. Seemed to download fine however, no change in System Info? Does this mean i have updated correctly or not?

 

Just a had a look at your post 7 clone features on the trot tempo, it does appear to be a clone, it's a mess - can't be of any more help than that as I have never had my hands on a clone. Have you checked in Eamo's Library there is quite a bit on clones in the Eurovox documentation.

 

yeah have all the pictures its more likely a clone cos even the part with the power cable going in with the green round parts is real i reckon the software goes into the green board with the chips and stuff id say thats the important bit ... thanks for your help

 

Go into Cas System and press default key and exit out to Sly Sp**ts 1 and see if it updates the codes okay, as I have said it is a modified version of the 2.57 and will still show that original info. in System Information, that is correct.

sorry guys, downloaded the CryptStar-v1.4-Core257.bin to my clone via gtrom loader. downloaded fine. it shows up in the system information but nothing found in the scan??? also there is no level/quality percentage when i check it with the manual scan?? the box also freezes when i try to exit from here to there.. have i messed it up??

 

hi i have a starview clone wich i have j tagged sometimes it will let me get to auto scan menu then others it just starts up and satys on 0 it will not let me scan at all i have loaded it with 257 fixed

hi one of my mates just asked me to flash his clone box, iflashed it with the new clone update but all i was getting was scrambled or bad channel so i reset it and flashed it again and stil no joy ( i put emu back on )all it says is scrambled or bad chanel, i have switched it off and also plugged it out, when i scanned i found all the channels any ideas cheers

 

try reseting your default key on the nagravision menu.then come out to s#y sports and fingers crossed

 

If you have flashed it with the correct firmware CryptStar-v1.4-Core257.bin then it will update if you do as vicatron has suggested.

 

Wonder can anyone help me with a problem I've got???

I have a clone box that just keeps giving me green lights moving from left to right constantly. I looked up the solution on one of the forum pages and followed it word for word. i.e. gt rom loader, old file, waited until I hit download button before switching it on from the back of the box etc. I did this quite a few times but to no avail. I flashed my genuine box using the same method just in case it was a bad connection between my pc and the null modem cable ( rs232 ) My genuine box flashed no problem. I'm maybe thinking that there is a fault at the rs232 socket at the back of my clone box. If that's the case, does anyone know the solution to that or is my box wasted??

Concerning previous post......tried s/w transfer. one box to another. Still no joy.

The bad flash procedure will work but you may need to carry it out more than just a few times. BTW I presume you are using the latest Crypstar257 for clones?
