if youa re nervous and not sure if you have a clone or not don't flash up to 4.0 stick with 2.57 until you figure it out. there are loads of photo's of clones and originals floating around

after looking at various photo i have come to the conclusion that the way u can tell a clone from an origanal is by looking at the back of ur box.

if u look directly at the back of ur box you will find 2 scart sockets.

when looking direct at the back of ur box if ur scart sockets are on the right hand side (like mine) it is a clone

if it is on the left hand side it is origanal.

plse note, that is the conclusion i have come to after seeing photos

 

hello steo will this 2.57 clone firmware be just has good as the 4.00 for genuine boxes. or will u still get scrambled/bad channel for 20seconds

 

hi just been readin the first page i have a few questions about this 257 version does it stop haven to put the codes in manually and would it work on original boxes i have 255e version or would i be better of stayin with the one i have

hello ryan. so you are saying any clone box is now as good as a genuine one . this will save alot of dealers now who have been selling clones

 

sorry if it doesn't work can i change it back to the version i had?also my friend said i had a clone but i'm a 100% sure i dont if i didn't would it damage my box

 

you can change back but i heard that v4 kills clones within the hour.so your box will die if it is a clone

looking from the front if your scart is on the right your ok if its on the left don't put it on your box.

i have just installed the safe version of 2.59 and my screen has gone blank

i still have the digital light moving across the digital screen on the box

wat can i do

any ideas

 

hello amjdon. you can try to upload allthe firmware with gtrom loader and then if its a clone put the new 2.57 fix firmware on or if its a genuine one put the 4.00 firmware on.
