initially when i put the numbers in one of my kids had unplugged the scart and replugged it into the wrong slot, only copped it when i went to turn it off first time....could that have done something to it???

 

Yes , check your scart lead and the cable make sure they are in properly and not lose , re-enter your codes and make sure you store each key data seperate , and check the EMU key is ON

just update the firmware and it should autoroll.

you need a null modem cable.

now heres a wierd one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

have tyrned on, turned off, put in the earlier codes, put in new codes, installed channel scan again (not sure why, but i tried it) and a host of other messing.

i now have about 20 channels...including most of the sky movie ones...and am missing the rest!

any suggestions on where the rest have gone...or perhaps its been an ntl problem all the time

if you have Missing channels you can try this.

I have seen a few posts about channels missing when doing a full scan.
Here's a little trick you can try that may help if you're having problems
finding any particular channels or are missing channels:
Try and determine the lowest transponder frequency that you can get a signal on.
Look at the frequencies you already have on the channels saved so far and choose the lowest.
Then in the installation menu select MANUAL SCAN and set that as the frequency.
Make sure you can see a signal and scroll down to Network scan and change to ENABLE with the Right arrow.
While still highlighted, click OK.
Scanning should then begin. It will say 1/1 to start with but should then jump up to 1/?? (the ?? being 2 digits).
Using this method my Starview indicated it scanned 56/56 transponder frequencies as opposed to 48 in Auto scan on one main provider.
I also gained a few extra channels.
The other transponders may have been picked up by scanning other providers.

Please someone help....someone messed around with my starview and it seems screwed....problem 1..when im exiting back as normal to view stations it brings me back to the language page.Even tough it has a exit option at the bottom of the page...i CANT exit.Problem 2....when im on main menu the parental control and channel edit cannot be accessed.If anyone can shed any light on this id appriciate it.
