Starview Dublin - V4 software - sound problems

Have V4 running on box at home (True NTL - Dublin south), the sound is gone on some channels - Channel 4, Adult channel, attheraces.

Anyways, V4 didnt autoroll, had to manually put keys in??

Any one have that problem??

 

yah i got version 3-00 ee on mine same prob do you know how to sort it??

 

incomplete copy of v4 out there try another v4

try rescanning with network turned on

Hi, I just logged in to check for a solution for this exact sound problem. Can you tell me in detail what you did to sort it. Thanks

 

write down the frequence if the channel.go to channel edit and delete it.now go to manual scan and put in the frequence.then the channels should be a the end of you channel list

 

Thanks mate. You just solved one of my two problems. I'd be f****d without this site and its members. All I need to solve now is why 'bad channel or scrambled channel' comes up every 25 min in the info box during programmes.

 

if your firmware is v3.00 it freezes alot update to v4.00(doesn't freeze).

 

hey ryanmq i see ya talking about v4 for the starview box. went and downloaded it to my computer. after this tho i'm at a loss. could you tell me what i need to do to get this onto my starview box. any help would be greatful

 

you need gtrom loader(theres a link at the bottom of my post).and you need a null modem cable.if you box is a clone you can't put this on your box or it will break

 

def not a clone 100% on that.downloaded th gtrom loader cheers. sorry might sound like a stupid question but the null modem cable. can be got in any good computer shop i suppose. as ever greatful for your help

sorry ryan but after i have the v4 downloaded i try and open the file on my computer and wont let me. now i know the gtrom loader has something to do with it. could you point me in the right direction please

 

you dont't open v4.00.you open gtrom loader when the box pops up press bin file,pick v4.00 then press download
