Hello peeps! Listen I have a problem I put firmare 2.59 on my box and now I can't change it evrytime I try to put another firmware on it! I'm just getting flashing lights it could be the firmwares I'm using are corrupt but I got them off this site so I doubt they are. I'm looking for 3.00ee so my box will auto update! So if anyone has one that is working on there baox could they pm me and I'll give them my email address or if anyone knows why this might be happening could they let me know! any help will be much appreciated

 

if i connect a r 232 cable to my star view box and then to my pc and turn on the box, will a window appear for updating or do i need software to update it?? can i get new channels if i update my box?

 

300eE is the way forward and all credit to the guys who are working on it. If we want this forum to stay open we have to abide by the rules and use some common sense by reading through the posts, all the information is there you just have to look, its staring you right in the face.

Now for my question... is there any news on the channels freezing with 300eE. How many people have experienced this and is there a fix likely?

if i install gtrom loader v4.00 on to my pc it will totally knacker my pc?

When you where up dating did you leave your box in standby mode

when you flash you have to leave it till it goes all the way to 100% and still wait till you see it says ok on computer screen and the (on) on your set top box before you disconnect it

 

glen are you waiting for the "download complete" box to appear on your computer it happens about 20seconds after the file says downloaded, if you disconnect your lead before this you will get the problem your having

 

i have 2 boxes 1 is 257 1 is v3 the v3 updated itself no prob and 257 went down.so if you reflash to v3 you sould have no prob.

Only if you try to open it when you down load it you should see a red arrow with gt on it you only use this to flash your box only

 

gt loader will not nacker your pc, Download gtrom loader and when the box shows up click on save, then select desktop, it will save it to desktop, (it should show a red arrow) , Then download the appropiate bin file, also save this to your desktop, Now double click on red arrow, click on bin file, then select your bin file, then click download....

revert back to the 257 file now that will solve your problem and your 300 file should do what it needed but to stop the freezing revert back

Hello.... sorry for the intrusion (apologies for my spelling)

Is there someone out there who may be able to help me get my replay lite box working again, after last weeks key changes by the cable providers. I've read through several treads describing the process to follow, but after doing so, I've still not managed to get the box working.

I've tried the new Ntl key for the northwest, no luck.
I can't get into any secret menu!
I've re-booted the box to it's factory settings... no luck

Anyone with any suggestions?

Also everybody having trouble today with channels, just download the 3.00 bin file, it will autoupdate, and all will work fine, no need for changin numbers

when you go into the menu go to parental control press the i or the info button and key in 2004 this is the secret menue do your codes in there in negravision look back for codes then turn on your emu should work for you

 

Cheers Fergus, reverting back will mean updating to 300eE when the keys change again and then back reverting back again which is a real pain. I am not complaining I am just curious to see if 300eE can be fixed.
