i've rescanned my box and still can't find premplus to work but the time has gone 1 hour back on the starview. any help will be much appreciated. thx

 

did you automatic scan the box

 

yeah but i still can't find pemplus and the time is wrong.

 

when you pressed automatic scan did you scroll down to the bottom and where it says disable move the arrow to enable then scan as it seems weird qs to why your not picking it up.as for the time i didnt even no they had it on.

Just wondering if anyone can help me. My StarView box is working fine however everytime i unplug it it seems to loose the EMN key (on) setting.

When i unplug the box and plug it back in all the channels are scrambeled , i need to go to the menu , 1570 and turn the EMU key from off to on. Is the box supposed to save this setting when unplugged from the mains , or should it save this setting ???

It keeps all my fav settings and the channel list.

Anyone set-up Starview in Milton Keynes. Mine is not picking-up any channels. Tried everything so know that the box is working.

Any ideas?

as in getting no channels?you dont get a message saying not running,or scrambled,or your not even getting that!..wot version r u running is it 257?.

i suppose you heard that little story on ebay from a seller no doubt not china copy mine are real not fake if you flash a fake copy your head will blow up and your arms will fall off so be sure to buy off me i only sell genuine starview (blah blah blah

 

I have tired several versions, including latest 259. But each time box says no channel founds. I have scanned for NTL, Telewest, Ex-C&W and still nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.

most reliable image is the 257,i take it you no how to turn the emu on?.

I have tried 257. I have downlaoded software. Plugged in to the TV. Gone trough to installation and scanned fro channels. I have fist chosen NTL. This scans for some time with each frequency the message comes-up failed. I have then tried Telewest. Same thing again. And so on. I am able to turn on EMU and on one occasion I have done this before scanning on other occasion I have followed the normal instructions.

I know Milton Keynes used to be a BT Cable area. But it is now an NTL area. My home is wired-up for digital and I recieve the free cable channels.

Is this any help?

 

did you wait till the pc said download compleat when you flashed your box rather than 100% because if you dont wait the extra 20 seconds it wont work or scan chanels
257 is the software you must use ...and when you scan the first two bars will say failed and the third will find loads of chanels ,,, or it should,,,

 

Sorry. But I did make sure sortware was properly downloaded.

 

did you do a factory reset before flashing box if not try this if yes then have you a strong signal or any at all ,, are you splitting your broadband to get the signal

 

The signal is split on entry to the house to supply three rooms. Cable appears to work in all three.

just a thought,..maybe your av sockets,..happened to me once,just make sure there right in,..i had to change to the gold colour av
sockets.
also check your cable connections,try it without the splitter,.or even at a freinds house.

Absolutly old age newbie, please help if possible,with Star View ver:2.55e_E. After running for a week, someone played around with settings in menu. Now when switched on , the only thing on screen is Language, press ok Main menu appears(Parental Control and Channel Edit ,on green and not accessilable)and can't exit from this screen.Thanks with all the help I can get.

 

if you can enter user setup do that and set the timne. I think you should be able to exit everything after that
