    No need to keep conected to tv it is better to use desktop for flashing as not all laptops have a serial port unless you get one as usb to serial

    will somebody make up their minds on the codes before i do!!

    mikeygb69, to become a mod, you are selected by other mods & asked if you want to be 1. usually you are at addict status when that happens.

    Just flashed my box with v300ee and it came on straight away,
    Hope i dont need codes any more,

    ive already ordered the rs232 serial null modem (F-F) lead but I still need a usb 9 pin male to connect the other female end of the rs232 cable to my desktop PC - right?


    then I just flash the v3 software onto the box from my desktop using gtrom loader 4.00 and then reflash straight away to v257/258 if need be. And then after this is done i can connect the flashed box back to the live feed/tv.

    Am I on the right lines?
