Yes I tried it on both disbled and enabled. And still couldn't find SS1.

 

go to sly movies 5 and have a look... you will find that sly sports 1 is there for somw reason... let me know if it is cos it has happened to mine... what area you from?

i know... im from wales and i have not updated my movies yet i am tooo scared to because peeps are saying they are getting lost ... why has all this occured and will it fix themselves???

 

All the channels I bought my box for don't work, i get a blank screen and when it's trying to update it gets to 100% then starts updating again... over and over again....

have tried manual, automatic, all the different networks for each and still i get blank screens that update to 100% over and over...

my 1570 menu has emu is turned on - but what's that nagravision sh*t all about? also all the channels i can't get have a dollar sign next to them as well as saying nagravison in brackets??? i'm stumped!!!

ant ideas out there???

 

iv lost all channels iv tried everything i can ie rescan/man scan enable on cant find the emu thing anywhere i tried par control info nothing happens on that any advice would be good pls

when you press the info button dont forget to press the keys 2 0 0 4 then turn e.m.u. on

Robbo82 your best to do a factory reset and starting from scratch with a 257 flash file
and then turn on e.m.u. then it will work and wont get to 100% when updating

ahh thanks TEZZER007 im a div lol didnt think it was a secret screen lol all sorted now thanks for the help. also do we or dont we get the ppv channels was told we could i know there off when nothing is on .

 

yes you will recieve prem plus and the live ppv boxing etc. but not the ppv movies

 

hi thanks for the info its just i could not view the newcastle v arsenal game at the weekend and i se the spurs v arsenal is the next game on was hoping to get that ill have to wait an see i suspose.

just got my self one of the PVR star boxes with dual tuners in
so when i go to scan has the following
start frequency (set at 54000 KHZ)
end frequency (set at 322000 KHZ)
append symbol (set to 6900)
step 1Mhz
networks search disable
search (6900,none,none)
i live in a ntl area
what am i meant to put in here

Last night at about 02:30 a lot of the channels went blank. I did a factory reset and rescanned and all was OK. I've just turned the box on and I have all the channels but no sound. Has anyone else got sound as I don't think there is a problem with my box

 

Silly me all is well cable was loose

 

well managed to (did not check but got the new upgrade for it)
well it lists ntl now and scanned and managed to get all the channels
but the $ channels cannot be watched tried getting into the secret menu by
pressing into parental control press the info key then either 2004 or 1668 but no other menu turned up

Hi all,
Seems to be a theme going on here - loads of scrambled channels since last night (movies, sports etc). Anyone got any idea how to fix this?

I have had this box for about three weeks, with no probs. Lost channels before and did the auto scan and picked them up again, but now cannot get them back for love nor money. Still have other stuff like discovery, sci fi etc - but SS1-3, and SM 1-8 all gone.....

So far have tried Manual scan 9arrowed over to enabled), and auto scan - but to no effect (and yes EMU is ON).

Stumped... is it factory reset time.... I really don't want to lose my channel sorting and favs again its a right pain to re do....

Any help really appreciated.

SS 2 seems have beamed out some place. I have tried auto and manual scans to no avail.

hi, im new to star view but after i have read ths entire thread as well a few others upon this site i think i have gained a fair bit knowledge and would like to thank this site and all the people that maintain it, as well as the people that contirbute here.

there are a few things that i would like to know a bit more about.

1.when i first set this box up i selected the operator, did a autoscan, but i did menu>>1570>>>emu = on, then switched it to encrypted channel. would this make a difference to the other methord mention here? (i.e. the menu>> p.lock)

2. i read that you can load the channel info from stb to computer and vice-versa. just out of curiosity, what exactly is saved into the channel info file and also how and when do i use the file? also can i modify it upon my computer instead.

3. this morning i had quite a few channels that went blank (all sports and movies, disney's) but i kinda sorted it out by deleting all channels then reboot the stb, then did wot i did in above in part 1. that did sort out the problems, but was this a correct way or is there a simpler or a recommended way?

I don't really see the point in going into it because it's been explained time and again on this thread. If you do a factory reset you will get all your channels back. Movies 1-10 are no longer. They now start SM and are all there.

I can't be bothered to save the channel info to the PC but if you feel the need the info is there on this thread. You can sort everything in alphabetical order and then do your five favorite lists all in one pass. It only takes a couple of minutes. You don't have to do favs 1 and then 2 and 3. You can do them all at the same time. Just toggle through favs 1-5 as you go through.
