Starview Expert-**no email posting or BANNED**

hi can anyone help. i just got a starview box and when i connect it up i get a big sign sayin "the box" which is fine then for just a second on the box i get the number 0, after that second it disappears and nothin else happens, does anyone no what that means, PLEASE HELP

 

Maybe usefull information to someone.
I have both the 1st generation box and the new but no copies.
I have tried various methods to get these boxes going and here are my results.
1.Input the numbers for T...west they worked for a short period but after powering the box off they lost ppv channels.
2.Flashed with the 300ee and then the 257, factory reset the box 1570 etc but could not get the PPV channels.
3.Flashed only with 300ee - got all the channels plus a couple of extra film channels, turned boxes on and off over last four / five days all seems ok, couple of glitches 1. screen size changes - have reset by changing from letter to full screen and the colour setting had to be changed to RGB.
Intially had black outs during programs - last 5/10 seconds but even these seem to have stopped.
Hope this may be of use to someone.

Please stop repeating the same post. Have you contacted the people you bought it from? Is it connected via scart?

 

SORTED.

My girlfriend had put two remotes on top of each other so the buttons were pressed down and intefering with my remote signal. Only noticed when my vmedia and DVD were doing the same thing. Seemed very freaky

 

no the genuine box isnt killed but i put the v3 on which is supposed to autoupdate but to day its scrambled again put the keys in manually and working ok checked the version to make sure and yes its 3.00ee

 

could someone please tell me where to get version 3.00,i have 257

 

A reboot usually fixes this

I often wonder if people with these boxs acutally do any tv watching?

Most seem to be on here all the time. LOL

HI ALL I PUT THE 300 FILE ON MY BOX TODAY AND display scrammbled channel once in a while IS THIS NORMAL

 

yes,the odd scrambled channel sign is normal for v300ee,its favourite at the moment as you shouldnt need to keep entering manual keys with it,but it does have a tendency to do that unfortunately,a few people also have had problems with freezing,i have it on my box and pretty impressed with it tho.

Also about them pictures they have been put there by the person who is responsible for the release of the 260 file that killed the boxes so do not pay any heed to the posting

 

By the way just in case anyone has not done a manual scan recently,a couple more movie channels are available smovies hd hid 1 and smovies hd hid 2,just perform a manual scan and they will be saved into your channel list.

 

let's all throw the starviews in the bin and come on here instead of watching telly.
