Crash'd N*L's sales team is so bad when my mate tried to get Broadband from them he never got an answer! He didn't pay his bill for a month! When they rang to find out why he said I just wanted to get your attention I'm looking to get Broadband!
Idiots they don't even know basic customer services what chance have they got on stopping the SV era!

only got my starview to day 2 of them and all was going well but when i press menu and 1570 it does not work for me

sitting right up at it got some one else 2 do it

it just wont work any one know why ?

ok im,e going to bite the bullit after reading through the last 20 pages i am shure that i have a clone box, do i update with normal 3.00ee or clone 3.00ee? please help

 

DUB your box more than likely has firmware 2.58 you need 2.57, 2.59 or if it is a real box 3.00 to find out for sure if is 2.58 press menu, system information

Hya can anyone help me with the parental lock? Forgive me if i sound thick but i have tried doing what it says in the manual but it does not block the channel.
1. i put the tv on the chanel i want to p/l
2. i press menu
3.i enter my pin
4. go to p/l and press ok
5.go to menu lock and turn to on
6. press ok
7.press exit
8.returns to channel and i can still view.

Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I paid my joining fee in OCT last year. They lost my money in their system and didn't find it until the end of december. I finnaly got braodband in January. They couldn't install the phone because there was a fault on the line and every guy that came round was only told he was installing the phone and was not an engineer. After them getting it wrong FOUR times I gave up. I kept giving them grief on the phone and they kept putting compensation in my account. The last time I called them I spoke to some guy about a trivial matter. I then called back 20 minutes later and asked If I had been changed to the £10 a month deal as had been promised 20 minutes earlier(I lied). The guy didn't even check and said no but he would do it. So I've paid £25 and had broadband since January and will not have to pay another penny until November.

Mike the N*L box just updates! You can't watch anything except an N*L Logo thats why they can't keep doing it! Its only while they're adding High Def! It'll all be over with in the next month or two!

 

press menu, channel edit, select channel, press edit (yellow), then p-lock (reen)

pin must be entered everytime you select this channel from now on

 

FOR PARENTAL LOCK

Press Menu
Channel Edit
Type in your password
Select the Channel you want to lock and press the yellow button
then the green button do this with all the channels you need to lock

And exit back to the channel you wanted to lock Viola its locked!

 

i thought the key changes were to stop us (or atleast put us off)

 

hi all can someone help me plz i just bought a cable from maplins connected to the freeview box and got all the bin files that i got from here but it wont download? it tells me it fails plz help

its the 9 pin female to female null modem cable as told to buy on here cost a fortune so can someone help us ? why wont this cable work? i have it connected to port com 1 its the only port i have on the pc, thanks again

 

Does it say NULL Modem cable on the front of the box. If not take it back and ask for L71BT. That is a Null modem cable.You might have just got a RS323 cable they look the same and both fit. One is straight wired and one is twisted. I don't know which is which butr all you need to know is one works and one does not.

 

does device manager actually say its com1?
