Im in Dublin too , but all is well . Have 3.00v flashed and hasnt gone down yet! . Just keeps saying bad signal for about 15 secs then back up again. But thats just the bugs in it..

 

Considering they look the same and I've told youi what part number you have to ask for why do you ask. Go to maplins website put the part number in the search box and you will get a picture if you really need it

 

Having problem unscrambling stations. I have the correct codes. I have installed numerious boxes so I am not a beginner. The cable provider is N*L. When I go into Nagravision N*L does not appear. I can find all the other providers but not N*L. When installed N*L appeared as one of the providers. Any suggestions.

 

I pressume You switched it on/off. If that dosent work try factory reset, if that fails try re-flash

 

right the picture of the cable shown in maplins is the one i bought but it dont say on the box null modem is there another cable like this one we got with null modem written on the box thanks smoggy

 

Have you loaded this bin file into other box'x at the same address. Maybe you had a bad flash maybe file is corrupt. Eitherway it won't hurt to download file again or flash with previous bin to see if N*L shows up. Sorry I have no definitive answer

sorry guys i just found the problem we have serial number L68 and the cable we now need is L71 oops MY APOLIGIES SMOGGY

 

Have turned on and off, done factory reset but I will try re flash. The box came with software already installed ver 259. My own box has version 257. By the way I am in Dublin and we are still up and running, fingers crossed. Many thanks for suggestions.

 

About the issue of which is or is not a clone.
In a previous post I mentioned that I was onto the makers of the starview via e-mail and was waiting for a reply.
I have just received a reply asking me all sorts of questions.
So I have replied stating the obvious, 'That I am a retailer of starview and would like to know the full spec of the machine, including pictures' .!
I will update all you guy's as soon as I get A reply .

Starview boxes are sh-te i have come to this conclusion for the following reason's.
I Have allway's been a d-box follower then went onto eurovox into the bedrooms,then bought the latest starview for a seperate bedroom.
The starview is a very cheap copy of the latter and so follows all the problems it bring's.
My conclusion is bring on the linux system that they struggle to Crack.
Do you not think that the C-ble bods are watching these sites to see what reaction they are bringing.
And by the look's of it they are bringing mass histerior.

You have out of date software in the box. Go back to page 98 and read from there . someone has posted a link along the way to the new files.
