Starview Expert-**no email posting or BANNED**

DesB yes bought my "starview" off them and could not fault them really until i discovered it to be i believe a clone! Having said that it's worked fine apart from the recoding issues that everyone is suffering! Jumped in really without looking into it but you live and learn!

 

Des: i bought my starview box from satellitestockshops about 2months ago and am positive its a clone.funnily enough i was looking earlier and saw they have been receiving rather a lot of negative feedback recently... I wonder why

 

does anyone here actually own "the box" ??

Has anyone used the 2.57 file from this site to flash their SV. I've downloaded it twice and tried to flash two SV's with it and it says complete but the SV's won't turn on. I've had to flash them with V3

Also be aware that when it says compleat it is not finished until about 30 seconds after that till the pc says finished and the on is lighting on the box

 

Hi, i noticed i was refered to this message :/ for some reason, anyway basically answer is no, it wont work like you want it to, from what i understND, "QUOTE ME IF IM WRONG" when uploading new software to the reciever, theres some form of quick check in the checksum area of the memory unit to make sure that it is a form of compatable software thats suitable for the reciever, the reciever will send a fail responce back to the computer. i also would assume theres parts missing from a freeview box that would enable it to recieve some of the higher range signals that cable transmits on,

So its a no sorry.

But, buy a starview

no, all it does is resets all your settings and wipes all your channels
