    I wouldnt say 100% sure its genuine but done as much research as i can, think i am just dareing and willing to take the chance!!!!!!!!!!!

    i have about 30 phone calls aday when boxes go down <looking for codes>my question is will i put 300ee in these boxes or has the problem passed

    v300 keeps freezing every so often so i think you will still be getting 30 phone calls a day best wait till they bring out a new update des

    my starview has been down for the past few days. just got these codes this evening to get me up and running again. Says they are good for another 6 months.

    It could be possible cos when i flashed the first version on it didnt freeze straight away. Sorry for the delay its the 3 min posting thing its doing my head in!!

    no one can say how long tthey will last!! it could be a few monthss, it could be a few hours, no one knows

    ive just foind the datasheet for the STi 5518 processor. its the confidential version as it contains info on decoding nagravision. anyways im not interested in that, i just wanted to see what the core speed was - 60Mhz

    yeah but for the hassle their causing their giving a free starview with every upgrade cha ching

    have we any way to find out what processor is in our boxes without taking them apart

    I have also asked the mod to remove pages 1 to 98 as the thread is getting very long

    not that i know of. i know they all have STi 5518's but theres a few different types of the 5518 - different clock speeds

    can the clock speed be checked by anything or would the processor have to be taken out

    you would need to know the exact model number by looking on the chip itself

    that would be way too much hassle. the chips are surface mounted! we just gotta be careful for now until we get some official software that is guaranteed to work on anything, like it used to
