No freezing nothing like that (as of yet lol)

The manufacturer at last someone with no freezing i wonder does this happen on clone or real maybe that is the way to tell if freezing starts must be a clone we will never know i dont think

 

I had that today when I tried to flash with 2.57 from this site. I had to reflash the box with V3.

i have a genuine box ferg and it freezes with v300 on it so i flashed back to 257

 

ok so maybe it is not for real box and works on clone has anybody tried this on clone and not getting freezing yet

 

I remember this thread the day it was born. It didn't grow very much at first but it's had a serious growth spurt recently

Mine is a clone put v3 on monday had no probs at all yet

 

ok so now we know it works on clone but not on real that is interesting lets wait and see what other people say what do you think about that mikey

 

Ive been thinking for a bit, well a few mins realy but this freezing malarkie, problem solved by turning the box off and back on right?

Anyhow i just wondered if anyone had been looking for the reasons why its freezing up, well when i put 3.00 on a original box the other day, it was running fine, although when i took photos of the insides, i should have used a thermal camera because the processor's heat sink was hot enough to burn myself on.

There built with what seems to be a tiny heat sink, maybe after all these updates and better features being enabled in the software, maybe the processor is working harder more frequentley, therefore creating more heat, causing the unit to freeze up more often than we'd like.

How about peoples boxes who are freezing take up a mini chalange of installing a micro fan above the heatsink to pull heat away from the heatsink thus keepin the processor cooler and possibly preventing the box from freezing up.

Of course thats from someone whos box freezes and has the technical knowhow to do it.

On another note, the Starview 2 AKA the box, on ebay, i think its appearence does look quite nice not buying it though!


Also, about an hour ago i got a whispering caller on the phone saying moomoo and saying im going to get busted in a whispering tone, if anyone i know is reading this and it was them, dont withold your number u twat, id like to call you back and rip it out of you eveen more!

lol looks like the clones are working better lol!

i'll stick to my cooling theory though, get a microfan installed on it, there quiet enough to not realy notice them and could work maybe, think of it like a early pentium pc without a cooling fan, it crashed a fair bit, install cooling and they were alrete, well as a type writer anyway lol

 

You think we would have better things to do than figure this out at this hour we must be mad 1:45am and we are still up do you think the v3.00 we got works on clones and not on real and maybe the other v3.00 will work on real and not on clone good theory ya

I'd rather goto bed, but you see last time i felt un easy and was living in sheffield, i went to bed at 1am , 5 mins after i turned lights out a house brick came flying through my bedroom window for my evidence against a murderer, now its a bit hard to sleep knowing that someones winding me up on the phone

Oh btw, anyone who had dobermon or alsation or any other breed of a known big defender dog and wuld like to donate a young pup to me id appriciate it

Anyway, i still think it may just be a cooling issue, on the original box the heat sink is small than that on the clone model therefore less heat distribution, cool it i beileves
