Tim, Mikey, have also got a clone from our friends on ebay! Personally i'm sticking to V2.57 for now until we know for definite we have a stable firmware for clones that autorolls! Another week or 2 inputting codes is no real hassle anyway!
    regards! Dez

    Hi Forum,
I successfully put in the Nagravision codes then turned my box off for 10 days whilst away on holiday and can now only get freeview channels. I have re-scanned but to no avail. How do I get all channels back? Any assistance much appreciated.

Acme: the codes have changed at least twice if you have been away for 10 days- go to page 119 i think it is for the new ones and input as before.

tim, the freezing is nothing to worry about but if you are using 3.00 on a clone i'd advise you to add better cooling to the processor, either bigger heatsink, or a fan, or both.

Hey guys. Just a question - these key changes by the cable company, they seem to be daily?

Anyway with regards to the "bad or scrambled channel" on v300 seems to be rather random for me. I mean yesterday i watched a whole film on Sky movies action and it didn't give me this message once, but in the evening when watching another film on SD1 it froze about 3-4 times during the movie.

We are lucky that starview has such a great following and community, keep it up everyone - we can't let starview die!

its just a shame that half of the community will stop at nothing to make money, even if it means killing peoples boxes!!

got an intersting e/mail this morning i am going to post it here for all to see tell me what you think of it

Just a quick update on whats happening.

the recent code changes are due to virgin upgrading their systems for hi-def. A code change might also be needed when a channel is added to the system. there might be a few more code changes in the coming weeks but it should be over soon.

Also, theres certain people posting new updates on certain sites claiming these will work on clones & stop freezing. Actually these are the same file as the 3.00 file that was released on may 27. there has been no official updates since then. ive tested these newer files, theyre identical - just renamed! someones idea of a joke. i'll let everyone know when theres an official release.

So basically, nothings changed. If you've got a genuine box then put whatever you like on it, nothing can harm it. If you've got a clone 257, 258 & 259 are safe, 260 will definently kill your box & 300 might kill it, no-one knows yet. If you temporarily flash 300 on a clone just to autoupdate this is perfectly safe, dont leave it on longer than neccessary.

    I'll keep you all posted

Hi, Does anybody know where you can download a clone friendly ver 3.00 ? A lot of people have purchased clones not knowing & are now afraid to flash the new firmware. By the way you can access the latest keys for any area & any provider if you visit the following link & download the toolbar http://www.bigmaq.co.uk/

Good info Fergus. Interesting that, why would anyone go out their way to waste their time by renaming v300ee to v301ee.

The rest seems good news, the code changes will hopefully stop and if there isn't a new update out by then we can downgrade to 257.
