Yes you are right possible but what about the Korea thing on the box the other ones are supposed to have no markings on them or made in c`hina or something

 

The easiest way to find out if you have a clone is:

Flash with Version 260e if your box doesnt come back on then you have a clone, personally i would rather find out now if i have a clone as the starview boxes have been discontinued well the originals anyway and will be replaced by " the box " & Starview PVR they will become more popular

I can assure everyone that we will still be supporting original boxes for future updates

 

i cant imagine anything with a starview badge becoming more popular! everyone will eventually move on to the eurovox or dbox2.

 

The only person who is not doing the starview is W****** this is because he was not getting supplied anymore by starview the starview is available from satkings and he wont release a file to kill them just to start a new product called the so called TheBox which is the same inside just different paper wrapping

 

ferg have you looked inside them do they have the poorer assembly quality, also the only diference i can see is that the on/off rocker switch has slightly wider text on the clones goin by the pictures posted, tho this could be down to suppliers of switches batches etc

 

I would have bought a starview PVR but they are just priced so high at £189ish that in my eyes its exploitation of the consumer. It doesn't even come with a hard drive, which is the worst thing.

Lets get one thing clear Wizzard didnt kill peoples boxes he invented firmware to support HIS boxes the ones he supplys he didnt invent it for the clones but clone buyers just used it anyway you cant blame BWM if you buy a BWM engine and put it in a Ford and it dont work


He clearly stated that all clone buyers should refer to their clone sellers for software but by then the cloners had probably fled the country changed their email adds/ebay adds, mob numbers etc and clone buyers tried 260e anyway as there wasnt a autoupdating fix at the time

I am confident in knowing that i will always recieve support and advice for my original boxes unlike the cloners.............


With the " The Box " did i mention it has fully working 7 day EPG?

i suppose its a good thing cos usually with these pvr's like sky+ you cant upgrade hard drive but with starview you could put a huge drive in

 

Beer no i personally have not but other people have and with the other so called clones yes you are right if the demand far exceeded the quota they could possibly have changed switches inside while awaiting another delivery as for the so called 260 file it killed non cloned boxes he is not telling you that because they are not getting there quota sold of thebox in the first place also why would they be auction there boxes if they where selling so good because people know the starview is TheBox in a different case

Yup - you gotta fit your own. I guess it would be an advantage but if the box wasn't priced so highly then it would be more practical taking into account it doesn't come with a HD. You could get a sly+ box with a hard drive for about 1/3rd of the price if you look in the right places.

i did this the other day, you just have to go on set default key on the hidden menu and then enter the codes again.

Yes Gam3r enjoy paying the sky subscription.............. you guys want everything for nothing a standard DVD recorder costs around £100 with the PVR you can connect it to a PC and download the images a 200gb HD cost around £50 why you moaning for?

Try reflashing with Version 300e but do this, turn the SV off from the back switch set up Gt rom loader press download and quickly turn the box on from the main switch at the back it should start downloading within 30 secs wait & for the download to finish but stop messing around with the keys just use Version 300e as it auto updates

 

he released that file to all and new all people would use it and when starview heard that they took away his ability to purchase people buying these boxes bought in good faith from supposed reputable dealers then all of a sudden the 260 file was released why was that because people bought at a better price so that is why the file was released no other reason apart fromW****** being banned from buying fro starview direct did you know that the 260 file killed non clone boxes also if not you should look around at other forums and see what people are saying

Also who needs a fully working epg the paper does the same job and a lot safer than buying the so called "TheBox"
