just had a look inside mine. on the psu side theres markings where the cable goes out to the main pcb

theres a 5v & 12v rail so we're sorted for power. mounting should be easy, either screw directly onto heatsink, or screw onto top panel

 

Pah, theres a power supply in there, theres a few power supply options to choose from coming out of the power supply, so pick a fan relevant to the power source, 1 pin onthere provides 7 volt, which should be ample for a small fan, 1 thing to note is have a diode installed to allow 1 way power stram from the power supply, to for safety, if the fan was to be manually turned in the wrong direction after it was powered off, it will generate electricity and feed it back into the power supply which could cause damage! dont do it if you dont know what your doing!

 

I dont believe it will take enough power to stop anything from working, the power supply will take a max of 20 watts power from the mains, thats max, that mainboard i highley doubt uses all of that and stealing 1 watt aint gonna do much i rekons

 

Maybe best to mount on case rather than trying to get it on the processor did you send my the address for where you got the info on the dead boxes

I dont talk nonsense you can cry all you want, Wizzard didnt invent 260e to kill clones on purpose he invented it for his boxes, his buyers and he posted it on his forum it said quite clearly in his disclaimer that he cannot guarantee it will work on clones, and to refer to your clone sellers yet people didnt listen and loaded it anyway.

& whats with all this nonsense about overheating Starview boxes? i have sold over 1000 original boxes and never had 1 come back regarding overheating its simple turn it off when your not using it

he should have designed it so GTROM would refuse to flash it to a clone! And why would he need to make a file that was designed for his boxes when the previous files were fine, nothing needed to be changed!! say what you like we all know whats going on!

also that file wad deliberately released knowing it would be used and also why would someone make a file just for his box and using the starview name as all the other boxes had the same name what did he think would happen he should have changed the name of his box first then released it as the file for his box only and left the name out of it this was done out of spite of starview not supplying him anymore anyway i am not going to talk about this any further we all know the story so here it will lie and die

Codes in ireland have not gone down still working perfect but you can get them from page 119

 

Its still on nthell dublin.

I do not understand your question but got the forum link from a mate who got a starview and joined to get the ever changing codes.

 

The codes have not change the boxes are still working you only get codes when they change them and as yet they have not been changed so if your box is not working check page 119 and see if you codes are the same and if they are and are still not working do a re scan
