    W77ARD says'
it seems that the proccessor from the starview 1 +2 are the same although we were told by the factory that they were upgraded so i am trying to find out why not but have removed that description from our web listing although the box does seem to work faster than the original starview we are not in the relms of trying to trick people but all genuine customers who have purchased the box seem happy with it

it is basicly a starview with a different shell ,well thats easy the box was brought in so you could easily idetifty between genuine boxes and clone receivers

thanks for gettin back so quickly fergus. I've tried lots of forums here and others and can get no joy. I think some people in the 6887 areas have tried using the software and its causing more problems for them. But it doesn't actually state on the software that its only for the 6952 area. It was someone I know that told me about it. Glad I found out before I flashed the box. Really want to get this sorted and done with, ready for the next blast of new codes. (god forbid!)

Im just a bit curious about the comment above now, if the Official Starview was on sale at around £75.00 , why when its just had its front cover changed so we can tell the difference, is it now priced at at least £100 ?

i cant justify a £25 price hike on a non hardware improved version :S

when the starview came out it was priced at about £115

it only dropped in price to combat the fake/clones in price ,

after the thousands sold, and seen as people can sell soemthing at £75 per unit, then they should continue, no ones going to sell something and make a loss!

If they could sell at £75 then they should now, greedy gits

Yes i totally agree and the processor is the same as the original starview he has admitted this himself so what else is he hiding god only knows as his box is suffering the same fate with v3 freezing and scrambling as well dosent look well lol

    hey lads
i have a mate of mine trying to set up a starview on the chor*s network, he has found 63 channels by manually scanning them - problem is when he turns on the emu and exits out the box just constantly updates, he has v300 loaded into it, anyone any ideas why the box just keeps updating, some of the basic stations are on and he can watch them but the scrambled ones just keep updating

Another feature to be able to tell the difference between a clone and a original

On the back of the unit, look where the power lead goes in, theres the power consumption information.

The Original uses 25W (25 watts) of power

The Clone uses 20W (20 watts) of power

    all helps :)
