    • Press menu (ignore what is on the screen) and press 1 5 7 0, this takes you to a secret menu,

    • Go down to emu and turn it on.

    edit channel password is 0000

Can anyone please help me with a programme channel guide for V*M in the Belfast area?

Also, having gotten my Starview box up and running, can anyone please advise on how I can restrict access to the adult entertainment channels, as my two young sons will be wanting to watch their cartoon channels, now that we have access to all channels? I don't want them to access the adult channels while they are "channel-hopping".

Can anyone please advise on this matter??

    Many thanks in advance...

also to the lad from ireland
you can go into the menu and chanelk edit and remove the adult chanels so the kids can watch

also from here you can sort out the chanels in order fav. etc
the user code to do this is 0 0 0 0

hi, just got my starview box and it works great. but just wanted to know what to do if you are required to press the red button to view that channel because of the age restriction and enter your pin eg. some sky movies, vmedia central etc...

there has to be a way around this?

    many thanks

there is no need to press the red button as all the movies are doubled up so if its asking for the red button then your watcheing the wrong one , you need to search for the same chanel that dosent ask for it ....
it is there so dont worrie

On N*L also and had similar issues when trying to sort my box out. When I tried get the channels using N*L as my service provider no joy but I then tried it using ex C and W - loads of channels there in minutes. Worth a try.

Hi, can anyone explain to me... i have just left sky and im looking to get vir-in media installed. Are these star view boxes any good? I have looked at the £120 on eb-y and wonder if there good or bad. From som of these messages they seem unreliable?
    Regards

the starview can run of your broadband by using a spliter / one conection to the internet and one to the starview or several starviews if you want /
a hard drive can be added to the new starview spv model wich also has a twin tuner so you can record one chanel while recording another , i have not had much to do with these so cant advise on how good they are ie. suport reliability etc..
best you start of with a standard starview running from the n*l / v**gin broadband or the basic package ...

cool, so infact (excuse the ignorance) i dont need a cable system to start with, i can split the signal coming out from my b/band bit on the wall and run one into a starview box?
when i spoke to the fella on e-ay he said that the £120 box was better beacuse theres no manual tuning or something? how much are the splitters? are they the ones avalible on eb-y? Sorry for all the questions just need to get it right.....

the guy on ebay for 120 quid is talking crap to you get the 75 quid one as all boxes have to be scaned for the chanels cos every one who buys dont live in the same area ... buy the 75 quid ones with free postage and do a auto scan when you get it and turn on the e.m.u. and bingo you have the lot .....
and yes to the other question you only have to come from the box on the wall ... splitters are 4.99 from maplins or around 3.50 on ebay ...

any more help you need when you get in just contact me ..

    hi ciaranmc

to arrange your chanels go to menu and then to chanel edit
    the pass code is 0 0 0 0
see if you can work it out from there moving chanels around

if you still strugle putting them into favorates etc.. get back and i will try to explain for you
