Cheers Tezzer, Will i get prem plus on this box? and does it recieve the live footy on saturdays that i see in the pub? Also what about pay per view?

you wont get pay per view movies ie. the one that are 3 quid a go , but you will get all the prem plus

 

you will not get the 3pm live games on this box, you will need a satalite for this & it will have to be pointing 13 deg's east ,

 

thanks to everyone who has helped me. i was searching for channels using n*l with no success. so i tried scanning on tw and hey presto 240 channels. thanks again

 

Tafsir - when you say you need a satelitte and ponting 13 degrees... do you mean a motorised system with a seperate reciever????

you can either have a Motorised or Fixed System & you will need another reciver to pick up the channels

i have a Fixed System with twin LNB , one pointing at 13deg's east(HOTBIRD) & the other point 19.2 east (ASTRA)

here is a good place to look at, also the recievers will need to be patched like the starview to watch most of the channels

not missed a LIVERPOOL game so far, for well over 3 years now, what ever time kick off is watching it LIVE ,

but cannot say for how long this will go on for, its a risk that people take, like buying the starview reciever , always needs patching to keep on watching

 

whats an LNB?
Are Hotbird and Astra recievers?
do i need a viewing card too?

LNB is the thing at the end of the arm on your dish. Hotbird and Astra are satalite in space.
When i looked in to getting this earlier this year i found a lot of answers on http://www.creativesatellite.co.uk. Its not expensive, you can get set up with reciever dish and card fitted for about£400

people who are downing him, should really look @ themselves, as they probably aren't courteous.

I don't think people were downing him on purpose (spelling sorry) its just as we are buying non official boxes and there are so many stories of fake boxes and people being ripped off its hard to know who we can trust. I bought my box off Pritz and was impressed at the level of comunication and the speed of delivery, and I will be getting another box of him soon, its because people like you who tell the rest of us that "this seller" is legit which gives us the confidence to order from him.
Maybe somone should start a thread for good and bad sellers, our own version of Watchdog.

I have recently purchaced a starbiew box, I have been able to get most of the channels apart from bbc1 and bbc2, I can't find them anywhere. I have tried doing a manual scan with no luck, is there anything that I am missing?
