    jj67,you will get all the channels you asked about,..except film flex,when you get the box you may have to do a factory reset,then scan for channels,then turn your emu on,..as described 3 post up,..
    laptops are ok to update from,..but you may require a rs232 to usb adapter,,about £7,..make sure your rs232 cable is a patched cable,...
    not a data cable

    hi new here and wondered if some one could help. Had a box for a while now an got pretty good at using it. but when v*rgin took over channels disapeard.... as expected but now cant get some of movie channels only got prem drama and family no comedy or anything!?!? any one got any suggestions???? thanks!! :)

    hey tuohy,many thanks mate,the seller is providing null modem cable with box,will this fit my laptop if required?

    how do i know which is a patched cable? i have a 15 pin and 25 pin connections to rear of my laptop,will null modem cable fit one of these?

    some sellers have brand new software version 260e,anyone got this,any good?

    it,s a slightley improved software from the 257,...but not good enough to change it,..stay with the 257

    hey tuohy,just ordered a box with 257,thanks again for the advice,i have found a few rs232/usb cables on net but are they all the same? you say it must be a patch lead,not data,how do you tell?

    ask the question when buying,..explain wot it,s for,..i ended up in maplins,bit more expensive but lot less hassel

    the cables can be found on e-bay for 99p and 99p postage thats where i got mine from and it works fine i've done mine several times and 4 others for friends

    can anyone supply me with the 260e software
    having real probs with the epg very slow and always set to wrong day or time

    i was wondering if any one could help me every time i i go in to my epg my programe time's are all over the place i have the time on the box set correct.i have 141 channels is that right for dublin.

    AS well as setting the time you also need to set that you are GNT+1.
    141 channels is right for Dublin

    time already set to correct time and gmt +1 but time is constantly changing and the epg is very it and miss as anyone who has this problem tried the later software even if its less stable

    have a look for tv 1573 it should be on that.
