does anyone have the 2.60 firmware would be gratefull if they could up it heard it fixes a lot of bugs

managed to sort that one woodward cheers for replying tho,it turned out to be a faulty box i had,i now have a new one had it for about a month now and all is great, can anyone trying the version 260 firmware i have uploaded let me know what they think,i still have 257 on my box ,didnt want to flash it as i am quite happy with it but curious to know if there are any improvements with this 260 version.

Please forgive if this has already been answered (I have looked).

How do I set the time? I go into to user setup, then time but cannot access any menu to change current time. I am able to set time zone to GMT+1 but not the time.

got the 2.60 and flashed it cures the time altering constantly. and the widescreen. epg still slow and stability unknown for me a positve move

can any one tell me how to update the firmware and how you find out what version im running at the moment.
do i just download it to the box using the null modem cable as in other updates.

Got myself a Starview box last week but couldn't get it working. Could not get to the EMU Menu (tried all the different codes), was running on version 2.58. Installed 2.57 after reading the comments in the forum. Now, I can't switch the machine on to do install the channels. When power is set to ON the LEDs on the display panel are flashing on and off, any ideas on what to do next? Any help would be great.

I've just connected my Starview box in-line with my Samsung N*L box. My NTL line goes into the back of the starview, and then out of the starview and into the Samsung. It's all working (I think), but I've noticed my Samsung box now has a flashing led on it. It's in the middle and directly above the 3 digit channel display. If I disconnect the starview and reset the Samsung the light goes back to solid. What's the flashing LED telling me? Is it because it cannot talk back to NTL because the starview is in the way? If it is, I assume a splitter will help?

Hey guys, just ordered my Starview box and any searches I've done on them in Google have brought up this thread. Answered loads of my questions - but I just have a couple more that I havent seen the answer for either here or on the company's website.

1. Is there any way to record, like the way Sky+/Tevo does. There doesnt seem to be any mention of an internal Hard Drive, but I was wondering was there any way to record to an external HD using a usb connection?

2. I have my NTL box in my sitting room, but I would ideally like my StarView box with the TV in my bedroom. Is this possible?

Any and all help would be much appreciated.

 

Can't get aany subtitles on my starview box any help???

 

Starview has all of a sudden started pixelating and freezing, sometimes appears as if all OK then just starts to freeze etc, have tried factory reset, emu is turned on, cables are all OK, searched through all the threads to find any solution can't see anything. Am running software version 257 I think. I have not done a refresh, do you think this is what I need to do. Grateful for any help, thanks in advance

 

hi could somebody help.ive got a starview box and have all channels but the movies.when on movie channels it asks for red button.how do i get the movies back

 

LOOK FOR THE CHANNEL AGAIN ALL THE MOVIE CHANNELS ARE THERE TWICE THE ONES THAT WORK HAVE HID AFTER THEM EG SKY FAMILY HID.GOOD LUCK

will work on all your cable networks eg ntl virgin
