i had a starview box but gave it to a bro. i then bought another one, flashed it did the auto scan got the channels went to extra menu turned emu on but it wont update it just stays at 0%....help please

 

Try downloading another copy of the latest bin file. It may be that the one you've flashed it with is corrupt. I've not seen anyone else with this problem on the forum.

 

just got starview today the same things happening to me any one help i got about five before worked no prob have given them to frinds and family now this wont work any ideas lads

 

have a look to see what firmware you have on the box,

you will want STAR VIEW_26012007_257eE_api file , you can get it from this site have a look around

 

Hi All

I have had the starveiw for a couple of months now.

I lost the channels the same time as everyone else then i updated and has been working ok since i done the update.

Then about a week later i lost some of the channels and my supplier talked me through getting them back

Anyway since then it has been ok but i can not find the cbeebies channel for my daughter

Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know how to get it back?

It shouldn't make any difference what version of firmware is in the box. If it's an out of date version it should still be trying to update.If it's stuck on Zero there is another problem

 

It will be there it just wont be called cbeebies. I had the same prob but found it listed as just a channel number eg tv1575.

hello, please help.
im not the best with technology and i need assistance. i bought the star view digital reciever and set it up. i followed the instructions and autoscaned the stations. i get approx 178 channels. my problem is i only get terriestrial and radio stations off it. all the other channels show a sign BAD CHANNEL,SCRAMBLED. and as a result i cant view them. would you say there is a problem with my box or am i doing something wrong. if anyone can send me some info it would be greatly appreciated. my email address is gooeylue@hotmail.com ....many thanks...happy paddys day

you need to turn your enu on.go to parental control press info then 2004,this will show your secret menu,scroll to the bottom to emu,then turn on,then press exit,then go to a screen that needs unscrambling,and it should update,and you them should be able to view

 

I have had my starview for months and had no problems until a few weeks ago when all channels went off, after reading various threads on this site, I updated the box to 259 from 257. I now have the channels but they keep saying Scrambled/bad channel at random times. Usually at a vital point in a film or just as a goal is scored in a match. Is there any newer software or a more stable software that I should update to??
I have been reading today that 257 still works, is this true?? and should I reload that into the box as I had no problems with that software until it went off.

i have a problem with my starview box, when i'm watching movies there is a 5 sec delay between the audio and the picture

do i need to update the bin file to V257??

Is anyone else not getting prem plus ?

 

I just did a facory reset and rescanned. Prem plus is back. I've got to sort out this saving of the channel info so I don't have to sort them out every time I do a rescann.

 

My premplus goes off, but all i do is a re-scan and delete the one that isn't working, i don't think there is any need for a factory reset. Unless it differs depending on your area.

 

I deleted it but it didn't work

 

I had a channel listed as p plus that did not work but found it elsewhere listed as tv 1572 and it worked fine.
