the new 260 has shaged two of my real boxes and one fake box so i think the soft ware is at fault not the fake boxes

I must be very lucky then as my genuine boxes are still ok on 2.60 and have been since 26th April.

TAFSIR - thank you for posting the differences with the boxes im almost certain mine is a clone.i have been running mine with software 2.57 with not a single problem for a month now just wanted to know how long it will last without having to upgrade? Obviously changing firmware will kill it.any help appreciated

firmware will become availabe for the cloned boxes when its needed
theres thousands out there , and suport will be available when its time to upgrade on them.

Who will make the firmware for the clones then? It won't be the Starview manufacturers, that's for sure.
@TAFSIR. 2.57 has been working since August last year and will probably work for a lot longer so just leave it.

310 what cable provider are you on & what area? Its funny how everyones box dies at the same time except from a few, maybe the ones that are still working are all in a certain area or on a certain network

are you not reading the thread , as it seems to be the fake clone boxes that are getting killed off with the 260ee firmware, its got nothing to do with who is your cable provider, as i now of 2 people, one on T*** & one on N** , there boexes dont work anymore (BOTH of these guys had a clone box)

    Hi All,
Anyone dealt with cableandsat.com, I got 3 boxes last week but oly 2 work.
I looked at return policy and it says it will collect and replace and damaged or faulty boxes within the first 28 days of purchase.
Problem is I can't get an answer from them ,I've tried all there e-mail addresses and have not recieved a reply , anyone else had any issues with this company.
