thanks for the reply i have tried that but it finds no channels. the signal strength is strong if i check in the manual option. Could i have to change the keys or use different software or would this not make any difference to finding channels. As it scans through all the different provider frequecies some of them seem to work ok and some say failed. Is this correct?

I have a friend at work who also has a starview box. If I give him a box with the new key settings and he does a manual scan when he takes it home will his box work. There is no way I can talk him through doing the keys on the phone.

yea, i get a few that say failed, i still get all the channels. It shouldnt matter about having the correct keys to find channels as the keys are used to "unscramble" them. searching for them should be straight forward. all i can suggest is a factory reset then rescan. if this fails hopefully someone else can suggest something, this is all i can think of.
    good luck

I've got into the hidden menu on the small pace box before, but I cannot remember even if they show that sort of info.

Then again I wasnt looking for it in the first place :)

Is there any reason why i cannot get my starview box to work after inputting these manual codes? can someone help, I live in Derby Uk, I use TW to scan for channels but when i enter the telewest codes i get same results, i.e. continually updating.
