Guys , just been on another forum and the official update is now out- version 261 its stating that its for genuine starview boxes only,so just letting everyone knows it seems there is progress!!!!

 

Yes I change the keys but will try again later. Will let you know how I get on.

i hold no responsibilities for this,its all at your own risk even i am not gonna put it on yet after the fiasco with version 260 ,but here is the 261 - once again it states that it is for genuine starview boxes only and it will kill a clone !!!

It took me ages to see what I was doing wrong. Follow DOOBY2OONS instructions on page 42. Dont forget to save the codes otherwise it wont work. Good luck.

 

Yes this is true firmware ver 261 is now out now this will resolve updating issues! if do not know how to do it just carry on with steps to put keys in manually in my guide on page 42 ..
For firmware update You will need to register
Please read instructions as if you update a clone starview box above firmware 259 it will die you've been warned!
This update has been withdrawn as not working still check website below for new update in a few days

HOW LONG WILL THE NEW KEY CODES WORK FOR

 

Hi guys. I'm a virgin at this stuff, so sorry if I'm going over old ground, but hope you can help. I've been having same prob with my starview box loosing loads of channels. Have tried to follow instructions to change codes in NAGRAVISION but can't find Telewest or NTL when I scroll through the provider ID's (got C$W, and loads of others). Can find TW and NTL under INSTALLATION & can run auto scan there, but they're nowhere to be seen under NAGRAVISION .... can I add their ID number manually? And if I can what Are Their Numbers? I'm using firmware version 257, do I need to change this to get them? Apologies for numerous questions, but am really stumped. Any help very much appreciated.

Myloyams- I did the correct procedure for changing N*L codes. Between 1.30 and 2.00 am the unscrambled stations came back. First the picture kept breaking up but then settled down; so I am now a happy camper. I did nothing to cause this to happen. Many thanks for your comments.

 

when i'm typing in the keys does it matter if they are in CAPITALS.

anyone here any good with computers.i have an old laptop i just tried to turn it on to programe my starview box but my laptop wont boot up its telling me i cant start windows 98 because theres files missing.i think i need to reinstall windows but i havn't got the windows 98 disc.any ideas........

you need to turn the EMU on.to to this press menu followed by 1570 then go down to key EMU an turn it on.

 

just letting everyone know-the brand new 261 software has been took off the other site as not working ,so please dont bother putting it on your boxes. i am sure a working update will be out for us all soon

 

Hi ppl, My starview box is still down....PLEASE HELP....
I have changed the ALL codes manually, C&W, N*L, and TWe**, EMU is on however worked one day and then all blank since last nite. Was then told to do factory reset and now nothing, no channels listing, just 4 dashes on the screen where normally channels shown, Parental control is greyed out, you cannot select it, PLEASE HELP...Thanks

 

Is it possible to get any other channels apart from the regular channels through the box
i am getting mine through N** and am not sure if i have all the channels or if i can get more.
is there a list anywhere?
also is it then possible to tune other channels like 5 from uk?

you can only get the channels carried by your cable provider.
