yes it was thought to ne NTL as i was paying all my bill to NTL but as i said the box was orevious running as exC&W befor it stop working that is on 24th may. LOOKING for help

Don't bither to buy starview Box Buy D-box instead much better.look for ebay or search on google there i s many site starting prise £90 apprx.i found starview is nothing but headack. GOOD Luck

Can you expand, is anything working? Don't know if it helps but I lost all channels and followed the instructions on page 49 of this forum, worthwile reading the full page.

what is the differnce between the starview box and D-box.

Can anyone help me please!

I got my Starview box yesterday and have installed it all correctly etc but when i go to look for the Sky Movie channels i can only find 3 of them.
I know i have to look for the renamed channels with HiD at the end but i can only find Action, Family and Indie.
Is there anyway i can manually find the rest of them such as Comedy and Drama.
Any help would be much apprciated.

I tried opening an account at satdownloads and got this back "banned by IP address" as anyone else had this trouble as i have never been on the site before ever, either I shair the same ip as someone who has maybe,or they are not open for the average joe,

Hi thanks for this, I went through pgs 42 -29, worked fine for 1 day, then nothing, also read on hear to do factory reset, but now done factory reset and it does not find any channels, and nor is can you access things like parental control? HELP PLEASE...

 

Tried 261ee found it kept locking up gone back to 257ee and working great

 

I got a star box from uk and it has to be programmed. I have downloaded the GTRom and when I try to run the link it jumps to Microsoft because it can not understand the software download. AM I doing this right? Appreciate any help oh I aint the best on the laptop so if there is a step by step out there...

Google "windows 98 torrent" and all will be revealed

 

press menu
press 1570. this takes you into secret menu
Hit ok on nagravision
and change both keys 0, and key 1

Make sure your cable provider is listed at top N** or t******t ect
To change between the 2 keys
highlight key number press right and left

When key changed hit ok (To store) after each one..
(YOU MUST SAVE EACH KEY INDIVIDUALLY - I.E. AFTER CHANGING KEY 00 MAKE SURE YOU STORE BEFORE CHANGING KEY 01 (TO STORE PRESS OK)


NTL Ireland keys
KEY 0 = 3B D5 B1 4A 53 E0 71 6C
KEY 1 = CB C9 BB A1 1F 39 FF 86


If done full factory reset/scan dont forget to turn on EMU
>> DO NOT PRESS SET DEFAULT KEY OR WILL RESET KEY CHANGE ABOVE <<
Now exit and all channels ok

On the starview remote:

Pause button = Letter A
Audio button(next to pause!) = B
Red(sub) button = C
Green(next to Red!) = D
Yellow = E
Blue = F

To enter numbers use the numbers on the remote 0-9.
To move left or right use the navigation buttons left and right.
To confirm press ok.

 

the new firmware is being tested and should be released in a few hours.
