Tezzer the Teeside area.I think the new firmware is working ok round here but so was the 260 before it started causing problems.I never had a problem with 260 but reverted back to 257 just in case.Cheers.

 

260 is only a problem on clones
the new3.00ee file work brilliant in the teeside area as i live in stockton on tees and its ok

3.00ee is an official reliese so you probebly will only get official ones anyway like 2.60 and 3.00ee

keep using the key codes if you prefer but its a short term fix and wont auto update like using the bin file will

you will have to manualy input them many times a month , and only if you can get them
if its not a clone then 3.00ee will be ok for you

ive flash 4 boxes with it round here and all are running good , they are all genuine boxes though the new update will not damage a genuine box just as the 260 wont damage it

 

I THOUGHT THE 300EEE THING WAS SUPPOSED TO BLOW THE CLONE BOXES UP? I THINK I HAVE A CLONE OR IS IT A "FIRST GENERATION STARVIEW BOX" AND ITS WORKING FINE..THANKS TO ALL ON SITE..WE GOT THERE IN THE END

hi all, need some help. how can u tell a clone box from da real thing? i've heard that u can tell by the size, a clone being smaller and da scart being in a different place. does anyone know anything about da new starview cable receiver (the box)? is it da same as da first? same files and what not 2 flash? can y get da same channels or more?

 

Flashed my sv with the 300ee firmware earlier today been watching and playing with it.EPG seems alot better no freezing no problems.Mine is the small 1st generation box shropshire t----w----t area.Thanks for all the support from this site.

Hope this helps i'm pretty certain it is 1st gen it's about 6 months old come in right box has right remote and manual.I beleive the clone ones are only recently available.My sis and bruv also have same type @ same time from same supplyer i have also updated those with no problems.

 

Mmm i bought mine in january so i dont know

 

even if it is a clone it wont die straight away, it took mine a few days!! i aint takin the risk again, mins workin fine now but eventually i think it will need an update & if theres no more support for it im gettin either a dbox or evox

 

Will the new 3.00eE work in Ireland?

I just had a small debate wiv the other half on how long we av had it for.I stand corrected i just checked feedback from e-b-a-y auction ended 31st dec i would of recieved it next day 1st jan.I know its not much to go on mate but if everything else looks ok ie remote ect if it was me and it was earlier today cus i was in same boat i would do it.Dont blame me if it goes wrong though ay.

I am getting updating information on my skyview box, no programmes. My knowledge of what to do is very LIMITED. Can you help regarding new software etc????? Or any help welcome.

 

Hi, I just updated to the latest firmware (300ee) and all seems good, but I think I have a Clone box because I got it from a Clone seller from eBay. As I have a Clone it seems to work at the moment but will it turn off in the near future? And also every 20-30 minutes the channels seem to freeze and say "bad or scrambled channel" any idea why this is happening??

Really need the help of an expert as i cannot get my starviews to work!
I got one clone and one true bx and i lost all the chans the other day.
Ive loaded the 257e software hopin this would resolve it but the bxs still keep uploading upto 120% and nothin.
I dont know much about the strv bxs
Is there something im missing??
Ive tried changing the keys but i cannot put in the last few numbers as theres no room???
