You can get a splitter at maplins or any good electronics store. the splitter is used if you are using a cable supplier box and a starview box on the same cable.

hi i have never come across that problem

3.00ee should work without manualy entering any keys

when you flash are you making sure the pc says compleat and not just 100% as this happens 30 seconds after the 100% message

 

is it a common thing that the starview box freezes here in ireland or is this an all over thing

 

don't know if anybody else has found 3.00 works fine but every so often the bad/scrambled pops up and takes about 10 seconds to go back off,gone back to 3.57 and don't get any of that

 

A lot of people are having this problem.

once you've flashed 3.00 and its booted up and changed the keys for you,just reflash 3.57 keeps the new codes and works better

help me box keeps saying its updating tryed installing again but no joy

 

to descramble channels

to do this all you have to do is

goto menu and press 1570

keys and emu buttons should now be visable

switch key emu to on position
go to scrambled channel and wait for update .
if this dont work then read page 42 onwards to install the keys

 

press menu
press 1570. this takes you into secret menu
Hit ok on nagravision
and change both keys 0, and key 1

Make sure your cable provider is listed at top N** or t******t ect
To change between the 2 keys
highlight key number press right and left

When key changed hit ok (To store) after each one..
(YOU MUST SAVE EACH KEY INDIVIDUALLY - I.E. AFTER CHANGING KEY 00 MAKE SURE YOU STORE BEFORE CHANGING KEY 01 (TO STORE PRESS OK)

If done full factory reset/scan dont forget to turn on EMU

Now exit and all channels ok

On the starview remote:

Pause button = Letter A
Audio button(next to pause!) = B
Red(sub) button = C
Green(next to Red!) = D
Yellow = E
Blue = F

To enter numbers use the numbers on the remote 0-9.
To move left or right use the navigation buttons left and right.
To confirm press ok.

 

Good news and bad news Rubberboy. It can be fixed, but you have to do a " 1st time " set up
Same thing happened to me, I hit the wrong button last week and lost all my settings , couldn't get past the Language menu.
Press Menu and go to Installation
Select correct provider i.e. N*l etc.
then automatic scan
Once channels are found, exit back to blank screen
Press menu,(ignore what is on screen) and press 1 5 7 0, this takes you to secret menu.
go down to EMU and turn it on.
Now exit and wait for it to store all the data.
Thats it , all you have to do then is to sort out your favs and channel order etc.

 

hi am having star view box with Api ver:2.57e_E
boot ver:7.0
i have changed the keys but still it says updating please help

 

Did you press ok to save them after entry.

 

you could flash with 3.00ee boot it up then flash back with 257 and turn on emu and all will be fine without having to change keys

 

Hi All,
Just got my replacement star view 2 (the Box),didn't get any instalation cd, I checked the system info ,API ver 2.60e and boot ver is 7.0.
I tried using GTV4 and 2.57 but nothing happening. Tried flashing from old starview to the new starview 2, but nothing happens.
Any ideas,

I have a big problem.

All my channels have turned into small areas on the TV - approx 8 times smaller then the full screen!
