how will the CPU die? the CPU doesnt die, Wizard is just bullshitting to people that it dies. It Doesn't.

The new software which they made does 2 things.

1) finds out if the EP rom have the code which are the same as the codes in the starview boxes they sold.
2) If not same then delete the Flash and if same then update the software.

So when someone update the new software in it and the box is not bought from them then it will delete the flash.
Once the flash is dead it won’t turn on.. peoples thinks that the box is dead..lol..

if so Then you could compare the files and delete the section that says find what file it is.

yes there is a fix now.

1) Before it Die, Take out the EP rom with the soldering machine and update the same codes in it.

2) After it Die, Take out the EP rom and the Flash with the soldering machine. In the EP rom update the same codes in it and in the Flash update any new software in it. 260 - 300 ( I mean any )

You’ll be able to update any software in it once the EP Rom problem is fix.

But remember it’s not easy to do it.. not anyone can do it.. if someone new do it might damage the EP Rom or Flash.
But I’m sure there is people out there who’s expert in doing these things.

I have know people to charge for updating files and saying they are put in a new chip

 

with all this talk about which firmware to trust and which not to,i have gone back to 257 with a manual key change, 3.00 was a pain anyway,i would just get to a good point in a movie and scrambled channel would appear,so lets hope i get a while off my manual keys !!! and to any clever guys out there which i know you all are,someone invent a starview keygen for us please!!

 

can sum1 please clarify, i have 1 box, updated with v3 and worked and another updated with v3 and jus died (will nt boot up) do i have 1 real and 1 fake??

the 1 that worked had 1 groove on the back of the remote and the other one had 2 ......if that is any use 2 u people at all!!


also is there a way of me gettin that box back, the second 1, the 1 that died or do i just have 2 buy a new 1??

Once more.

there is no clone or genuine box, it’s just the few suppliers playing games with each other. sooner or later so called genuine box won’t work too.. because the other supplier is making software to kill their too.. that’s also one of the reason the change to “thebox”

And yeah one more thing..
For soldering you’ll have to have the machine to update the EP rom and Flash. This machine is very hard to find..
Some engineers have it tho.

Manutd99….. now all the so called clone and genuine both are working.. because now all the new boxes have the new EP rom.

oh n btw jus 2 b on the safe side after rading bad experiences with v3 (i downlaoded from satdownloads) i took it back 2 the v257 hav i dun rite??! lol
