Starview Expert-**no email posting or BANNED**

exept from sky family ( sky movies 3) every other sky movie channel says something about virgin media and that i have to press the red button but i can't do this.

 

From what I can tell the Channels are probably hidden. If you remember Sky Movies 9 and 10. They had a special name. You should try searching for it.

Tell me if it works.

 

after you guys have do a scan

you should be looking for the following channels on your listing

there should now comeup as

SMclassHid
SMComedyHid
SMDramaHid
SMIndieHid
SMModernHid
SMPremm1Hid
SMPremHid
SMSciFiHid
SMFamily
SMActionHid

i think that all 10 channels

all working since wednesday

 

CAN ANYONE HELP ME GET THE CHANNEL sky one

 

you have no way of getting sky one as sky have stoped letting virgin get it ,
its impossable to recieve on a starview box until sky and virgin sort out there problems

 

IS THERE ANY WAY OF GETTING THE SKY BOX OFFICE CHANNELS.thx

hi got a starview but last couple of weeks the sound is out of sync with the program? a bit annoying when there lips dont match the words.
will be greatful of any help regards richard

have you got the latest software on ie. 257e

if so a freash chanel scan can sort this out

if not put it on it should sort it

 

thanks for getting back, have got the 257e on it and have tried new channel scan but still the same on the movies? should i reinstall the software or wait and see if it sorts its self many thanks

 

i can only sugest that you may have a weak signal ..
maybe a reinstall will solve it ..
maybe any other members have an answer to this

i have just lost six out of ten movie channels and 2 sports do i need new software or can i flash with old ?

I have lost the cbeebies channel for my daughter.

Do you have that channel or does anyone else have this problem?
I have tried everything to get it back but i haven't had any success.

Also i was thinking of connecting my telewest box up as well as the starview.

Do i need a splitter for this or is is just a cable.

cbeebies is up to 7pm then it is BBC 4 so if you check BBC4 before 7pm should be Cbeebies if you scan your channels before 7pm it will come up with cbeebies if after 7pm will be bbc4 I would like to thank Tommycomme for all the help he has been to us novices

 

If everything was working fine before and you have not arranged your channels try a factory reset and then scanning it seems to sort out most problems. I don't see the point in flashing the box if you have not tried this.

 

okay....this thread looks as though it could help me.....I was looking through the Manual of the StarView box and it was talking about skipping channels. So i tried it and skipped a few channels, I pressed Exit it started saving and then the channels were not not there, so I thought they must be skipping. Then i tried to go back to Channel Edit and now the channels have been whiped off the face of the Earth, they are no where to be seen, hehe. I tried a Full Automatic Scan and it didnt come back with the channels that are hidden just with the channels that I deleted earlier. Could anyone give me any help???

A FACTORY RESET WILL GET ALL YOUR CHANNELS BACK. BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO PUT THEM BACK IN FAVOURITES

 

yeah I know that will fix it, but I dont wanna lose my channel list, is there not another way where I wont lose all of my channels or is there anyway I can save my channel order on my computer or something?

YES TRY A MANUAL SCAN SCROLL DOWN TO THE BOTTOM WHERE IT SAYS DISABLE MOVE THE ARROW TO ENABLE IT WILL SCAN THROUGH AND PROBABLY PICK THEM UP .SO ITS MENU AUTOMATIC SCAN OK SCROLL TO BOTTOM MOVE ARROW FROM DISABLE TO ENABLE THAT SHOULD SORT YOU OUT.
