starview factory reset not working stuck on language setting

    Ok tell me what version is on your box go to menu system information and look at the API what version is on it

    Ok make folder on your desktop and at the end of my post there is a site called eko click on it and download the gtrom loader and the v4.00 software from the starview folder to your folder you made on your desktop then come back

    you need to make folder and put it into it then go back to the site and in the starview software folder you will find a file called H20070607 400eE_api.bin you need that as well put in same folder ok

    Done - folder created - which now holds both downloaded files..

    Ok do you have the cable that came with your box if you have connect one end to pc and the other to the box turn off pc before connecting cable to the pc and the box

    the bad news is I'm using a laptop......and there's no port for a 9-pin connector...only 15 pin female port(for monitor/projector ?) and a printer port....

    I dont think I've got the best 'setup ' for this .. ;-(

    no we have a solution for that as well here is what you need also just make sure you get the correct ones ok

    OK - I see it .....but, it's a male 9 pin.....and the starview box receives a female 9 pin - as far as I can see...!

    Yes you put the usb in the laptop and the null modem cable on the end of that as this is female and the other end to you box which is female as well happy days
