I have tried to flash with gtrom 4.0 but i keep getting the message

Check the COM PORT, try another, make sure your cable is a null modem cable, not serial.

 

fusk i bought a serial cable--the guy in maplins asked me--can i ask what ur using the cable for?? told him i was jst gettin it for someone.what a knob.so \the serial cable definately wont work??

 

No it won't, the serial cable has straight through connectors, null modem has crossed over cables.

oh well, i will have to take t back and get nul modem cable-- can u tell me if there are any other uses for this software and the cable? and if you know anything about xbox 360's.i heard from my m8 that the chip is goood.

 

The null modem cable can be used to connect 2 pc's together as a simple network, connect to various receivers, LCD TV's to update them. The software is only good for the Starview. I know feck all about consoles.

i have not got the first clue about this side of the technology but you said updating lcd tv's.what does this do? i have a hd lcd tv(currently being fixed-piece of shit! and on the starview point--how do i get pay per view events like boxing and pay per view movies???
and can i scan foreign channels?

fekker--- the ricky hatton fight last weekend---i had to uproot and shift 30 miles west to catch the fight! would this event have been on starview? if so is it the live events channel??

yes the fight was on STARVIEW. and it was repeated on Sunday. it was on ppv events channel

 

could someone please tell me where i will find this channel,
is it the LIVE EVENTS channel??? (there never seems to be anything on it)
can i order events and porn? does this enable tracing of my box? although i know they can b found for free.
And does the pay per view chanel contain most live events?

 

Mine was os the ppv events channel.It wasnt on the live events channel. If you cant find it try other channels when there is a apy per view event on. Now would be a good time because they are showing repeats of Sunday nights wrestling!!

 

what is the title of the channel you are getting these events on? or the channel number if you havnt re-ordered ur chanels.
i get celtic tv,premplus etc, bt no events.

 

PPV events 1 or 2 (on ntl) Cant give you the channel no. cos I have rearranged em!! CANT BELIEVE IT, MY BOX HAS JUST GONE OFF AGAIN!!!!!! Has anyone elses? I am talking about today (monday) not the ones that went off on friday?? If anyones elses has, have you got a new bin code yet??

just to confirm----pay per view----do i go through option menus and confirm purchase of the event or will they automatically appear like premplus?

 

mine just comes on. I dont have to do anything. Dont know if theyre going to show the wrestling again tonight but if they do you can check your channel then.
