Starview Firmware

I have 2 genuine boxes both running 2.60 since the day it was released, both working 100%.

 

maybe some of the genuine boxes are not so genuine after all.

 

This thread is like many other forums, what if.....maybe that......lots of speculation. lol

 

At the end of the day no one can say theyve a genuine or fake box unless they actually work in the place that makes them, we can guess all we want but none of us really know! maybe all boxes are genuine - who knows!!

OK everyone stop downloading the 260 API. I will remove it but keep it there for those who especially ask. It's been said that the firmware has been killing both real and fake boxes. DO NOT FLASH YOUR BOX WITH IT. Stay on the 257 API untill it stops working.

 

It won't kill genuine boxes.

 

just cos it hasnt killed yours!! are you sure youve got 260?? perhaps someones changed the filename before you flashed it, check version in info

 

It's the official Starview file released on the 26/04/2007 from satdownloads who are to do with Wizard satellite who are the UK Starview agents. I'm convinced but no-one has to believe me, it's my opinion that I am basing on the facts as I see them.

 

wizzard sat thats trying to sell 1000 new starview boxes and released the 260 file thats killing off all the old boxes..

 

so the boxes arent at fault then?

Can anyone help me. I want to Update my Starview with 260 Software but I think the box i have is CloneBox. So can anyone send me the url or email me the "modified" 260 software. Please. Thankx

 

your better off staying away from 260. theres not much difference in it anyway, epg is still the same, just a few changes to the menu structure - time daylight savings @ auto time update
