Yep once you have ver 4.00 it will auto update.

i have an original box with ver 4.00. but seem to have lost ssports1. does this auto update or what do i need to do. OR is ver3.57eefixed the software i need.??????? any advice would be kool. i'll even send out a free cd to anyone that helps many thanks again alan..

Dj , some channels have moved frequency lately , you be nearly better off doing a factory setting and rescanning , that way you get a fresh installation with all channels available

Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit

Press Menu then 1570
Turn EMU key ON

Exit , exit , exit

is it version 4E?

 

Im having troble updating my starview box HELP please!

 

Before we can go any further you have to tell us the problem you're having. Have you checked if you have a genuine or clone box? Is it The Box or an earlier one? How are you trying to update it, have you got the GTRom loader?

 

Ive checked that my box is a clone and it is not, Im using GTRom Loader and the file name of my firmware STARVIEW_H20070607_400eE_api if that is any help.

 

The problem is that i can update the firmware but when i tune to sky sports 1 on my box it just keeps saying updating data over and over again.

 

That's the correct firmware what is the problem?
