Well that tells me a lot!
Are you using the correct cable? Are you using a USB to Serial adapter? What is the message GTRom is giving you? Have you selected the correct COM port?

Im not using a USB to Serial adapter Im using just a Serial adapter GTRom is saying Update complete.Ive selected the COM port 1 and the update reaches 100%.
But when i connect my box too the tv I tuned to sky sports 1 and it said data is being updated then it will reach 250% but then it will refresh and try again and it keeps repeating this over and over again, Ive have the key swiched on also.

Sorry Steve missed your post with the Sky Spts1 issue.
Select SSpts1 then press info. note the frequency shown.
Go to menu on your remote, select channel editor, enter 0000 as the password and delete the channel. Then exit, go to installation, manual scan press the < button on the remote to zero the frequency and enter the frequency you noted for SSpts1, go down and enable network scanthen enter. This should bring it back for you. You will have to add it again to your favourates.

Get back and let us know how you get on

    Pip

Try factory re-set as some frequencies have changed.

Hi, Like a lot of people, my starview 1 failed to update yesterday evening (N*L Dub). Starview 2 updated OK. I manually entered codes and it worked. Do you think i will have to manually enter them from now on or was this a one off? I have a firmware version 4.00. Can you upgrade starview 1 from v4? Thanks.

I know its not the right place to ask this but can someone who's box is currently working please tell me what codes they are running off.

    I inputted ferg's codes yesterday.
    "N*l IRELAND 3rd Apr 17:14 pm

    00-5B 74 36 A3 B2 30 CB 46

    01-54 0D 81 09 F9 6E 17 F9 "

And since then I only have a few channels and nothing will update.
After searching and searching for a solution I stumbled across Celtic 71's post.

    "Menu > Factory Setting
    PIN 0000
    OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

    English > Installation
    Choose Provider etc
    Automatic Scan
    Press OK
    Channels found
    Exit

    Press Menu then 1570
    Turn EMU key ON

    Exit , exit , exit"

Just got me thinking that if I hadn't changed the codes would this have worked?
I dont know anything about firmware but my system info tells me i'm Api ver 3.00e_E and Boot Ver 7.0.

Please someone help me out as I cant miss the footy at the weekend!!!
    Thanks!

So what have they done? Will we have to manually input codes from now on? Thanks.

Jaysus N*L better not have done something to stop the codes from being updated manualy.
