Starview Firmware

    know its not the right place to ask this but can someone who's box is currently working please tell me what codes they are running off.

    I inputted ferg's codes yesterday.
    "N*l IRELAND 3rd Apr 17:14 pm

    00-5B 74 36 A3 B2 30 CB 46

    01-54 0D 81 09 F9 6E 17 F9 "

    And since then I only have a few channels and nothing will update.
    After searching and searching for a solution I stumbled across Celtic 71's post.

    "Menu > Factory Setting
    PIN 0000
    OK to delete

    Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

    English > Installation
    Choose Provider etc
    Automatic Scan
    Press OK
    Channels found
    Exit

    Press Menu then 1570
    Turn EMU key ON

    Exit , exit , exit"

    Just got me thinking that if I hadn't changed the codes would this have worked?
    I dont know anything about firmware but my system info tells me i'm Api ver 3.00e_E and Boot Ver 7.0.

    I've tried all the above the codes are already in, it must have updated itself,My system is ver 4.00, boot ver 7.0, its got 25 slits on top so i think its a genuine starview box. I do all of the above it detects all the channels in the scan but most of them are data being updated.How do I fix this? EMU is on and I turn it off at the back.

    If you have a S******w 1 box then you will have to enter the codes in manually from now on as the auto update feature doesn't work anymore,if you have a S******w 2 'The Box' then press the 'menu' button on your remote,enter 1570 go down to 'Set default Key' and press 'OK',now exit completely out of the menu and you should find your channels back working


    found this when when i hit the set default key eventually I went back in to the codes and they were different even though the right codes were in there earlier.

    So you have a thread for helping anyone with problems with their PC. What would you say to them if all they told you was they're having problems?

    State the problem and what steps you have already taken.

    Im having to manually enter the codes in my starview box.
    Ive updated it too version 4E and Selected SSpts1 then pressed info. noted the frequency shown.
    When to menu on my remote, selected channel editor, entered 0000 as the password and deleted the channel. Then exit, went to installation, manual scan pressed the < button on the remote to zero the frequency and enter the frequency I noted for Sky sports 1, went down and enable network scan then pressed enter

    If you are in Ireland it seems as though you provider has changed their firmware so that v4.00 no longer updates automatically. This has been reported on a few forums here.
    It looks as though you will have to continue to manually enter the codes to receive the full package until a fix is brought out.
    I should imagine the UK will follow suit shortly.

    Is it possible to update Starview 1 with the firmware that Starview 2 uses as SV2 seems to be auto-updating?

    Do not update your SV1 with firmware for the BOX or Super box as you will brick it.

    There is a fix coming soon, so bear with it until its released!

    Hi new to this, basically i have a 1st gen St**V*ew Box with v4.0E_e firmware dated july 2007, working fine until a couple of days ago, then screen goes blank and a message comes up saying the channel is being updated, sometimes goes till 200% but still blank. Have tried putting in new codes, as well as factory reset and re-scan..hasnt worked. Could someone help. Much appreciated

    ok there is quiet a lot of confusion in notts well the newark
    area you have these codes put them in it will work fine for how long i dont know and there from the starview the box codes which is starview 2 and dose work my area on starview 1 as i have 1 of each
    NTL CODES
    00/46-89-6d-87-07-24-42-2f
    01/91-28-ef-b5-7b-37-1f-ed
    NOTE I KNOW THESE CODES WORK ON STARVIEW 1 BOXES THEY ARE OF STARVIEW THE BOX BUT WORK IN THE NEWARK AREA ON STARVIEW 1

    You quite simply need to update your nagravision codes, check main posts in forum for these and how to do it :)

    yes he is right DO NOT USE THE FIRMWARE OF THE OTHER STARVIES
    ONLY THE CODES WORK NOT THE FIRMWARE
