What did it used to be like 2 years ago?

 

Well i was with NTHell a month before they Got bought by V*rg!n....but until a couple of days ago, i scanned channels frm CnW, Tele*est and OM?....i wouldnt get any channels when scannin by NTHell

 

Just checked my starview box and unfortunately, I'm an addition to the long list of people who had their boxes rendered useless thanks to the cable providers being conscious and aware that people are starting to use these types of boxes to obtain free premium channels. Not that there’s nothing against that .

I’ve been using the Starview 1 box in the East Midlands for an around 7-8 months and haven’t encountered a problem that wasn’t easily sorted until now where the cable provides have changed their system. I just hope that the update is available to be downloadable soon- so I can get rid of it and get the new Starview box 3 which is going for £85 including P&P.

 

Has anybody got the new codes for CW and is there a fix for the box 2 ?

I have tested this and it works 100% in the East Midlands (UK). Enjoy

 

The new firmware works a treat. Just updloaded onto *view and set both Key Data lines to 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00.

Then went to £-4-view channel and the auto roll works as it did b4.

Just wanna say a BIG Thanks to fergusrb and everyone else involved in getting these boxes working everytime.

Just make sure and check that you have a genuine box and not a clone as it wont work!!! Use the search facilty on the site to se if you have a clone box or not.

Remember the update is only for the Starview 1 boxes! It may brick any other version.

 

i must be the only one who cant get it to work can some one help

 

HI just wondering if any one had the same problem as me i flashed my starview 1 box with the starview 2 software this resulted in my box shutting down and it would not come back on out all i was getting was the green knightrider lights and a breif glimps of the on light then the box went dead i could not reflash the box out of desperation i swiched the box off useing the power button on the back of the box at this point the box was still connected to the pc i loaded up the original software that came with the box GTRom Loader v4.00 and STARVIEW_H20070607_400eE i pressed download and at the same time i powered up the box by useing the power botton on the back .the box did not shut down it took the update when it was updateing all i got was the nightrider lights not the percentage as before the pc then desplayed the message burning flash and hay presto my box was up and running again i then put in the new starview1 fix and reinstalled the box every thing is working fine i hope this is of use to someone

 

OK tell me the exact problem you're having.

BTW to everyone else the site with the update is being hammered ATM I can't even get on it!

 

i was told you can tell if its clone or not by the number of vents ie clone 7x18 and genuine 7x25 vents but looking at the link to see if its clone or not mine is 7x18 vents but yet the remote looks like a genuine one ... weird

 

where do i get the H20070607_400eE from to make my box working again i flashed my starview 1 with starview 2 firmware and i thought i blew it all im getting is THE BOX screen on my tv

 

anyone know if there is a fix for a clone box
