    im not sure if mines a clone or not please help i have downloaded the new fix from the link that was posted last night but im scared to kill another box

    anyone heard if there is a forthcoming fix for the clone boxes regarding autoroll? been using 2.57 fixed for months no problems until now and as i understand it the new firmware release is a no no for a clone!

    the new release is H20060918_258eE.api but not sure if this is for clones or not

    hows it going lads im in dublin and ive been updating the codes manually for the last few days for the starview box. ive downloaded the new frimwear Crypt-V1.4-GenuineOnly 10/04/08 is this version correct? and the Gtrom_v4.00.rar for loading it. i believe my box is genuine too 7x25 slots is this correct? but dont know how to load it on to the box i was wondering if one of you kind lads could post a guide on how to do this or post a link to where i could find one.

    Hi

    Could anyone help please? I'm using the starview1 box Api ver 2.57 Boot ver 7.0 dated 16/08/06 my box has 7x18 slots and the scart is on the left hand side, not sure if this is a clone or not. It went down a few days ago, i flashed it with the latest firmware bin file, but just keeps saying data is being updated. It still works on the free channels. Have tried manually entering the codes but no joy.

    Any help very much appreciated.

    sounds definitely you have the clone like me but when i enter codes manually its fine,which area are you in and are you able to post the codes you tried? i can then check see if view match the ones that worked for me this morning.

    I'm in the northwest area and I use the telewest provider usually.

    The codes i used were:

    (00) 46 89 6d 87 07 24 42 2f

    (01) 91 28 EF B5 7B 37 1F ED

    You have the correct firmware.
    Connect your box to your PC with you serial cable put box in standby. Open GTRom select bin file click download. Wait until you get the download complete pop up. That's it you're done.

    cav when you say you flashed your box with the latest firmware which version is it?

    cav i have checked the latest codes they dont match what you used so these are the ones for telepest: 6f 9b a2 32 50 67 36 57, 6a 90 5c 97 67 cd a8 91.
