Starview Firmware

Sorry if this is a stupid question but is the Cryptstar - V1.4 for Starview 1 only?

Can it be used for Starview 2 (The Box)?

If not, what is the latest auto-rolling bin file for the Starview 2?

Also, will it be possible to flash from API ver 4.00eE straight to whatever the latest is?

I have tried updating the firmware twice using the CryptStar-v1.4-Core400.bin & CryptStar-v1.4-GenuineOnly. I have a geniune Starv*ew 1, and i'm using the GTRom V4.00 that came on the CD when i got my box.

I'v followed the instructions correctly as far as i know, but after i do the automatic scan, turn on the EMU Key etc... i get the usual updating 120%...140% and nothing happens.

If anyone had any ideas i'd be really greatful, Thanks.

I've got a first generation starview box or I assume so (13x7 vent holes) I've recently updated it but having done this and connected back up to the T.v, I have to scan for the channels which come back saying 'Failed' and I can't seem to progrees any further than just the set up menu.

I don't know if I have done something wrong or missed something out, so once again please help.

 

they do just let the scan fin & save/exit see if your emu is on & exit all the way out the channels shuoud come in

 

No it is only for Starview 1 - you cannot use that version firmware on The Box The best firmware for The Box is 4.50 Ireland 4.51 UK found in Eamo's Library and flash from ver 4.00 to the one you need.

 

If you have flashed correctly then some times it needs a lttle kick, from Sly Sports 1 - Menu - 1570 and press Set Default Key and exit out to Sly Sports 1 and it should update, Check that you have flashed it correctly courtesy Celtic >>>>>>>>

Where are you upto now. It is normal to get some saying failed but not all, have you put your live cable feed back into cable input and have you chosen your correct provider.

 

lads did i hear rite?somebody 2 pages ago couldnt get the liverpool channel in? i feel ripped off, i would pay double for my box if it didnt have it on it. lads am i correct in saying the liverpool channel is now the history channel?? maby scouser can confirm. moscow here we come!!!

 

LOL could say the same about the MUFC channel but I deleted it

i.e autoroll or autoupdate for the pvr.

 

I tried the firmware a couple more times, and did what you said with the Set Default Key, and eventually got it working. So just wanted to say thanks Malci

hi mick the lads should be around soon and they will get you up and running,what is ur prob? are you getting any channels? will it not turn on? im just givin the lads a head start 4 when they come on

 

hi i have the box witch i upgraded with cryptstar-1.4-core400
is this the best one for the box? as the pic frezes now &again its upgrading O/K or is it best to let alone

 

if its the box (has it got the box wrote on it?)then that is the wrong firmware

 

I have searched as I do know the rules!
But,
Does anyone know if new firmware is available for St*rv*ew Original running API ver: 4.00e_E Boot ver: 7.0?

Im not clued up on these units and would apreciate any help.
