    All channels are failing, I'm just stuck on the set up screen can't seem to go forwards from this =s

    Can anyone tell me how to copy firmware from one genuine Starview that's working to one that hasn't been upgraded?

    keep it in one thread only evastar, big game on your question will be answered, leave one box connected to the telly connect the other box with the null modem cable,go to user set up on the main box go to s/w transfer press ok then press ok on code s/w

    Hi Guys!Have viewed your site for some time now,found it to be the best informative
    site on the web!!!.I would be,and am a starview box manipulator,Seeing as all the"codes"
    cannot published to the web anymore,(bet the legal team at N*L were payed overtime).
    My problem is-updating the firmware!I have recently changed to MAC OS LEOPARD.
    My question is,can i update firmware and connect my macbook to the starview box?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!P.S.i have gone through the motions of updating
    using XP,i get to the downloading part,but,it stays at 0%.I'm in crisis!!!!

    I do ye,but,I'm using an adaptor at the starview end,and an apple adaptor at the macbook
    end.Think i'm getting myself into a mess

    does the ntl cable need to connected to the box?

    no the box dosn't need to be hooked up to the tv

    ye i got that,but,does the ntl coax cable need to be connected to the box?
    i have the scart disconnected from tv

    You can disconnect the scart and coax cable before updating

    thanks C71.now,another problem i have.i can't get the GTRom v400 loader
    to run on my macbook.is it a windows version?is there a mac version?
    any help would be great!tearing my hair out here looking for answers
    on the web

    Sorry I have NO idea about running on Mac , can you get your hands on a PC from the family or a friend for a few mins ?

    Just wondering can someone help me update my starview box. I've tried to download the GTRom software but for some reason I cant open it or dont have the right software!

    Can someone point me in the right direction.....

    Louise .. You need to extract the file using WinR@r , you can find this also in Eamo's Library

    Ok, ive downloaded that too but still doesnt seem to open. Any suggestions?
