Thanks for that, it downloaded perfectly. I also downloaded this CryptStar-v1.4-GenuineOnly.zip, is this the right one?

When I open the GTRom loader, should I have something in the STB Model box?

Sorry for only getting back to you now, I gave up last night and went to bed! Thanks for your help!

yes donna thats fine even if its genuine the 257 would be safe for it, thats all you need to do make sure after your scan to turn your emu on.

am I not right in thinking that the 257 doesn't auto roll and that it will bring up the wrong keys and the new ones aren't listed on this forum any more??

Depends on your box if you require the 257 then yes it will update, and you are correct in saying that no more codes are available on this site anymore!

Thanks. 've got 4.00 on mine and am just about to try a re-flash but it's been so long!!
I've not been on here for a while(I know, shameful) so don't now why the codes aren't on any more though I'm sure there is a good reason. They were certainly useful and doing a search on here for things is tricky as I get the impression that there are several threads all covering very similar subjects.
    Oh well, here goes!

I've got an original but stopped before I start! I've got loads of cables but none seem to fit the bill here. All my cables are the same at each end and I'm assuming that the null modem cable I need is different at each end?????? ie the female end that fits into the starview has an identical female at the other end.
